Ewan McGregor singing “Father and Son” which was planned to be used in Moulin Rouge but was replaced with “Nature Boy” as Cat Stevens for personal reasons didn’t think it was appropriate for his song to be used in a film about the Moulin Rouge. He did give permission for the ‘vocal test’ that was filmed to be included in the special features on the Blu Ray release.

The cast of CBS’s upcoming comedy BrainDead: Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Aaron Tveit, Nikki M James, Johnny Ray Gill, and Danny Pino

Created by Robert and Michelle King (The Good Wife) and described as “West Wing meets The Strain,” BrainDead follows Laurel (Winstead), a young, fresh-faced Democratic Hill staffer whose first job in Washington, D.C. leads her to discover two things: that the government has stopped working, and alien spawn have come to Earth and eaten the brains of a growing number of congressmen and Hill staffers.

Aaron Tveit plays Gareth, an aid to a Republican senator and initially an opponent to Laurel; Nikki M James plays Rochelle, a medical resident who teams with Winstead’s character to find the source of a mysterious infection; Johnny Ray Gill plays Gustav, an eccentric genius and conspiracy theorist who is the first to suspect the alien spawn; Danny Pino plays Luke, Laurel’s older brother and the junior senator from the state of Maryland who also serves as the Senate Whip for the Democratic Party.
