Worth A Million

mid-movie Trainspotting fic below the cut, ~1,650 words, unrequited pining

(I know the Trainspotting fandom on Tumblr is like two and a half people but fuck it; T2 convinced me that Spud had a thing for Tommy all along, and now I’m taking both and a half of you down with me)

note: this thing demanded that I write it in the style of Irvine Welsh; I am not Scottish and I am Very Sorry™

You’re meaning to tell me you’re not Scottish and you wrote this in Scots dialect? Absolutely gobsmacked, it’s near enough spot on! You should be proud because this is great and so impressive.

Okay, I just want you to know that a bitch (me) cried a little—like, instant, legit face leaking—the second I saw this. I don’t believe I’ve EVER gotten such a lovely, out-of-the-blue compliment on a Deep Cut like this. You have made my entire freaking week. Thank you, thank you, THANK you! SO much. 💐💐💐

its so infuriating like on one hand it's good that we all know that tony is the heart of the mcu and the most marketable but on the other hand, they're not giving us a tribute of any sort even though he made the biggest sacrifice. its insane that he's the favorite character but he's being treated like this while ***** is getting all the new features and tributes

you know what, maybe we don’t need marvel to give him a tribute featured on a bluray that not many people will buy these days, the world is giving him one 24/7

Taipei 101 on Mother’s day

Somewhere in the UK after Endgame

maybe it’s not confirmed but Azerbaijan eurovision performance be like

A 4.5m giant Iron Man statue in Hong Kong for Endgame

And South Korean Winter Olympic Gold Medal winner Yun Sung Bin

Also remember Paris let him do this

Edited and how could I forgot, we did that for him

These are just a few grand examples I remember and found, feel free to add more, the character Tony Stark/ Iron Man has an impact on millions millions of lives across the globe, his struggle and his triumph have touched all our hearts because his story is a story celebrates what being human means. People love and appreciate him and it really shows. He may be a Marvel character but he belongs to all of us, he is loved by people across the world and that’s what matters ❤️💛

rdj literally acted out a movie equivalent of a loving dad finally getting his kidnapped son back as an improv like. that kiss on the cheek mid-hug is insanely raw for a superhero movie and the immediate looking at the sky as in thanking whatever deity gave him his son back before squeezing his eyes shut and patting him on the back to make sure hes really there cause last time he tried that the kid dusted in his arms like not to overreact but thats literally the best acted moment in any superhero movie released to date

Ahmed also revealed some pieces of Bodhi Rook’s history that never made it onscreen. “Bodhi grew up on Jedha. It’s been a troubled planet for a long time. It’s occupied by Imperial forces, and I was thinking, ‘What makes you want to be a cargo pilot and just fly long distances for the Empire?’ I always imagined he was supporting maybe a single mother.” In his mind, Bodhi was the only child from a poor family who agreed to work with the Empire because his mother was sick and had no one else to support her. “He’s taking a job, which a lot of people wouldn’t take. They’d think he was a collaborator with the evil forces,” Ahmed says. “He’s in a position of necessity rather than privilege, and I also think the desire to kind of fly and escape is a strong one. He’s someone who’s always kind of dreamed of escaping and leaving his home world behind, which also speaks to his ability to turn away from the political reality of Jedha.” Then something happens that changes his mind and makes him turn against the Empire and try to help the Rebellion. “In my mind, I think he would have lost his mother not too long ago, before we meet him, and that, in a weird way, makes him reassess,” Ahmed says. “It liberates him more. What he’s doing with his life, given that we’re only here for a short period of time?” With his mother gone, there would be no one left in his life for the Empire to punish for his resistance. Bodhi Rook went from the man who wasn’t there to the man with nothing to lose.

Favorite Quotes about Aaron Tveit

“But what I most love about Aaron, and I do love that guy, like a brother, is his sheer giddiness and joy and delight in his life. He’s a big kid.” ~Norbert Leo Butz (x)

“He is an incredible, humble man. Very kind, generous, and good. At times, though he is outgoing, I could see a shyness. It was nice to see a successful actor with this trait.” ~Billy Kidd (x)

In the musical of my life after I’m long gone, my wife Vanessa is going to be the one who steps forward as the hero. Vanessa is not particularly fond of musicals—she only likes good ones. She is not effusive in her praise, or boastful. But when I looked up from that Chernow book and said “I think this is a hip-hop musical,” she didn’t laugh, or roll her eyes. She just said, “That sounds cool.” And that was all I needed to get started. As I fell in love with the idea of a love triangle between Eliza, Alexander, and Angelica, she said, “Can you have Angelica rap? That would be cool.”

I am someone who is so averse to travel that I wrote a whole musical about not wanting to leave my block in Washington Heights. It was Vanessa who booked us trips and time away from New York. “You don’t get any writing done here because life keeps popping up.” Thanks to her, Hamilton was written in Mexico, Spain, Nevis, Sagaponack, St. Croix, Puerto Rico, The Dominican Republic—long trips where Vanessa would take me there and then leave me alone to write while she explored. She is my first audience, and she’s a tough audience, so I know if I impress her I’ve cleared the highest possible bar. She’ll come home from work and say, “Your king tune was stuck in my head all day—that’s probably a good sign.” This started out as a note trying to explain how my wife really is the ‘best of wives and best of women,’ but I’m trying to get at something more important—this show simply doesn’t exist without Vanessa. It’s a love letter to her.
