BUT GUYS
what hogwarts house do you think aaron would be in?
i have never in all my days come across a person more a perfect example of a hufflepuff than aaron tveit. if you were to literally list aaron tveit’s personality traits, you’d just have a list of hufflepuff traits (i.e. kind, hard-working, loyal, Good, disciplined)
for example:
- Aaron: “I had just become an acting major in college, and like a year later, I was doing eight shows a week on tour. It just happened. I think for a long time I thought I was going to get found out that I really didn’t know what I was doing, so I tried to overcompensate for that. The fact that all of these things have been able to continue and my life is so vastly different every day… I mean, I get to go to work, and I honestly jump out of bed when my alarm goes off…” /// Interviewer: “What’s your secret? [Laughs]” /// Aaron: “My secret is that I’m in a very small percentage of people who gets to utterly love what I get to do. And people pay me for it! What a joy that is.”
- Interviewer: “Of all the characters you’ve played, which one is closest to your personality?” /// Aaron: “That’s so interesting. It’s different times in your life, you know? It’s so hard to say. All of them have different aspects of my personality. I think [Catch Me If You Can’s] Frank Abagnale Jr. is the closest, without the con-man part. [Laughs] He’s the guy I hope to still be. I think it’s similar to how I was younger: wide-eyed and optimistic. I’m a very positive person, and I always find the good in things and work really hard.”
- “I was on a show once and people told me I was the nicest actor they had worked with. I was like, ‘All I did was say thank you for bringing my costume!’”
- He once gave a hand-embroidered pillow as a gift to his boss (a broadway producer who’d cast him)
- Ask Tveit what roles he wants to play next, and his giddiness erupts. He speaks with an impassioned fervor and is particularly grateful that his Graceland gig only takes six months a year so he’ll be able to also do film and theater work. “There’s a lot more theater work that I want to do,” he says, adding that Billy in Carousel is one of his big dream roles. “I’m at an interesting age, especially for musicals. There are a lot of roles for 18-, 19-, 20-year-old characters. From there, it jumps to older, kind of leading-man roles. So that hopefully will be the next group of parts that I get to play in musicals on the stage. I also want to do plays. I want to do everything.”
- A fan asked him simply what his favorite breed of dog is, and he went on to describe all the dogs he likes, how much he just loves dogs in general, how you should rescue a puppy instead of adopting if you can, and how the most important thing is that you love it and take care of it
- He specifically picks socially conscious projects (such as Next to Normal, Law and Order SVU, etc) — ”I would like to, especially in film, play against type and do some heavier stuff. I’m intrigued by projects that deal with problematic people and things.”
- Interviewer: “[Aaron’s Graceland character] Mike Warren has gone from being something of a goodie-goodie to a renegade agent who’s not afraid of gray areas from Season 1 to Season 2. Which one are you?” /// Aaron: “I don’t really tell people off very often, like Season 2 Mike does. I try to keep my mouth shut most of the time and go about my own business. I’m probably more like Season 1 Mike than Season 2 Mike.”
- Interviewer: “Any superstitions or rituals?” /// Aaron: “I usually say, not necessarily a religious prayer, but I try to have a moment of gratitude before the first night. Just to think about the experience and be thankful for what I’ve been gifted with.”
- [Aaron when asked about dating someone who wasn’t interested in the same things as him] “It does become difficult because I mean, listen, I’m sure I haven’t been into other things that people I’ve dated have been into, but I understand and support that they’re into it and will be happy with that. Even if you don’t like it, at least you can say, ‘Okay, I know that you like it and that’s okay.’ But if somebody tried to make me feel bad about it, that wouldn’t be good.”
- “Once I came to acting, it was almost a thing where there weren’t enough hours in the day to work on stuff because I was so passionate about it.”
look at this face:
that is the face of a man who is a hufflepuff
Just saw a picture of Café Musain/Diagon Alley
and had to ask for Morgan's help to decide whether it was Café Musain or Diagon Alley
because it's nOT MY FAULT, IT WAS ALL NIGHTTIME AND BLUE-ISH and I couldn't tell if the person in the pic was Éponine or somebody else--THEY WERE TINY
Verdict: it was Diagon Alley
The wizards flying in the background should have tipped me off
And it fits perfectly. Because
- Espo is the one who's always like, "Welp, [insert dangerous shit here] is my responsibility. Better me than you guys. I got this."
- Ryan's the one who'd be all, "Yeah, can we avoid [insert dangerous shit here] in the first place? I'd rather just go home."
- and Beckett is always the one going, "Oh, my God, you tried, that's sweet, now sit down before you hurt yourself. We can't [insert dangerous shit here] without a plan. And you're doing it wrong. Just let me."
