They both can’t lie for shit but in VERY different ways. Alan just makes noises and agrees with whatever the person next to him is saying (his lying abilities are made worse by the fact that his hot paleobotanist ex gf is right next to him) and Ellie just goes for ‘no no officer I’m just a charming mom!! I’m so charming! I would never bring down massive corporations with my jabbering boyfriend!!!’
