Heyyy everyone long time no see ahaha,,, I was on a hiatus because I went to table at a convention > < It was my first time tabling with so many people (whom i just met through a mutual friend) so the logistics and coordinating everyone on top of the actual event itself was really stressful ; ; but i'm glad i made so many new friends!!

I took some time off to clear my head by playing some games and catching up on manga series,, and then I found out Kuroshitsuji was on hiatus and wanted to find more reference for Yana Toboso's style, which i love ; ; so instead i stumbled right into Twisted Wonderland rabbit hole (heh)

The game isn't even available in my country (i'm trying to remember how high school me managed to download the jp version of love live) but I read the manga and filled in the blanks by reading the entire goddamn wikia and uh. They got me, you guys. Hook line and sinker.

Anyway, all that to say: Mal is now my scrunkly gremlin prince and here's a self insert I drew with his masquerade card (because wtf do u mean rollo gets to dance with him but not ME)

Their whole skin is so hydrophobic that it is covered in a thin layer of air. They breathe that air bubble as shown, but it’s not just like holding their breath. Oxygen in the air will be replenished from the water due to the large surface area, almost like a gill. Many aquatic insects, like giant water bugs, also use oxygen diffusion similarly if they don’t have gills.

this is the stupidest looking thing a lizard has ever done and lizards do almost entirely stupid looking things, which is all to say that they are precious wondrous angels and awesome feats of adaptation.
