imagine it's cold and rainy outside. you're huddled up in a cozy spot, maybe you're in bed or on the couch or in a nice little nook you like to relax in. your f/o is with you, maybe sitting beside you, maybe across the room. it's such a nice and peaceful experience... nothing but the two of you and the sound of the rain.

"it's a perfect evening to bake, don't you think?" your f/o suggests. that sounds lovely, doesn't it? maybe you decide to make cookies or a cake or pie, maybe something less sweet? perhaps a nice loaf of bread or croissants or bagels? whatever you choose, you have fun making it. stirring the batter, mixing the dough... maybe you have to whip up some frosting and you both take turns "taste testing" it. and by taste testing, you both are standing next to the oven while things are baking and eating spoonfuls if the frosting.

if you're making a cake, who calls dibs on eating the leftover batter? do you share it? or maybe your f/o says, "that has raws eggs in it, you know. you're gonna get salmonella at this rate." and you just shrug it off, because what's better than eating leftover cake batter?

your baked goods are done. does one of you get a little too excited and try to eat it while it's hot? "you're supposed to let it cool first, you know that?" but how could either of you care right now. it really just is the perfect scene for baking... cold and rainy and you're with someone you cherish more than the world. and that's enough for the both of you.

you two can worry about cleanup later... that's the boring part anyways.
