Scisaac Week ↓

AU: Isaac comes in to Scott’s coffee shop everyday and orders the same thing. Soy latte no whip extra foam. A simple order that never deviates. Scott has always said that you can tell a lot about a person from what they order but with Isaac, it doesn’t fit. A couple of times, the two of them have shared a conversation when business was slow on a Sunday but never anything more than that. Scott always watches him twist the ring on his index finger when he’s waiting and notices Isaac watching him move around behind to counter to make the beverages. But he always turns away as soon as he glances over. Maybe Scott was hoping for too much, expecting Isaac to make the first move.

“So, what’s with the ring?” Scott said pouring the coffee into the cup.

Isaac looked down at his hand, the ring being moved in a circle around his index finger. He looked back up to Scott with a nervous smile.

“Oh. It’s nothing. Just a family thing.”

Scott simply nodded, adding in the final ingredients to snap the lid onto the cup and slid it Isaac way.

“One soy latte no whip extra foam. As usual.”

The corners of Scott’s mouth were pulled in a grin like they always were. It was something Isaac always noticed about Scott. That and the fact that he never wore a name tag. All the other employees did except him. Isaac probably wouldn’t even know his name if it wasn’t for the fact that he was frequently there. He was always beaming with confidence and pep, something that Isaac was a little jealous of.

“Thanks.” Isaac said blankly.

He gave him a friendly smile as always and walked out of the door without a second glance. Isaac could just kick himself for not saying something else.

Why do I always have to hesitate? Why can I just SAY something? ANYTHING!

Isaac lifted the cup to his lips. It wasn’t until it was an inch away from his face that he noticed the number written on the lid. Along with it was a short note.

I guess I have to make the first move. Call Me. ;)  -Scott
