Mark is the father of Dana and Sam and the husband of Jane Winchester. He was raised in a life of hunting and made a deal with Azazel to save Jane's life. We first meet younger Mark in the season 4 time-traveling episode 'In the Beginning', where Dana discovers her dad was a hunter growing up. Dana also find out about the deal Mark made with the demon Azazel. Younger Mark makes another appearance in the season 5 episode 'The Song Remains the Same'. The angel Anna has traveled back in time to stop Mark and Jane from conceiving Sam. Mark recognizes Dana from the last time they met and urges them to leave, but Jane insists they stay, as she is excited to meet relatives. Anna lures Jane away and attacks him, so Mark, Dana and Sam have to rush to save him. Dana talks to Mark and reveals that her and Sam are his daughters. Shortly after, Anna returns with Uriel and succeeds in killing Sam. Just as she is about to kill Mark, Michael possesses Jane's body and kills Anna. After everything is done, Mark and Jane's memories are erased.

Azazel would save Jane if Mark would allow him (her) to enter his house in ten years. Eventually, Mark marries Jane and has Dana and Sam. In the pilot episode, 6 months after Sam is born, he goes into Sam's room and catches Azazel there. He confronts the demon, but he is killed by a fire on the ceiling. In a later episode, the sisters return to their childhood home in Lawrence, Kansas to deal with a haunting at their old house. During a confrontation with the poltergeist, Mark's spirit appears and tells Sam he is sorry. He then deals with the poltergeist and they both disappear.

How I feel about John/Mary

This is such an obvious ship. I almost don't want to do this because I don't feel like I could do it justice. I don't know anyone who doesn't ship this. Simply because it's one of the few ships thats canon. John and Mary were soulmates. And, as much as I love flashbacks or time travel episodes, I wish we could have seen more of their relationship. The way it was before the fire (obviously). And the way it was when the got married. And before the boys were born. And right after Dean was born. I don't know. Just a little more. They were such an awesome couple. And I just want more then what we have been given.

6. I believe that Mary Winchester was the most BADASS female on the show.

Ruby, Bela, Jo, Ellen, Lillith, Eve, etc..They were/are all awesome. But Mary was the HBIC.
