I WANT CAS TO GET ANGRY

Same anon. I know how you feel. I wasn't actually expecting them to make destiel canon bc it seemed pretty clear to me that they just like to queerbait, but it's still shitty. Hope you feel better. Best advice, pick your fave fanfic and make that your canon and pretend the show is just some shitty fanfic. :P
Oh, anon. You’re so wonderful, really! I’m so happy someone understands because it feel so frustrating all the time. Don’t get me wrong, I respect all opinions about this show. I never post hate and I absolutelly don’t agree when people say destiel shippers try to make the show about the ship and only the ship.
However, Destiel is the only ship that actually makes sense for me when it comes to Cas. They’ve been together for 5 years now. They know each other. They’ve grown so much.Cas got so many things from Dean, sacrificed himself for him (and Sammy ofc!) and learned how to feel and laugh ( ;u;). Cas gave up his powers and everything he’s known for so long for him. Isn’t that love?
So what I ask myself every day is: If they share a love so strong like this one why can’t it go canon? It’s because they’re two men? (Cas is not even a man. He has a male vessel)! That’s so ridiculous , you know? Then BOOM comes a random stranger and only because she’s a woman it makes TOTAL sense that she sleeps with Cas when there’re so many things going on right now?
It just….hurts. A lot.
I could probably spend a million years talking about the fluidity and focus with which Stiles moves when he’s rushing to save someone’s life. In this case - someone he’s not even really friends with.
You see, Stiles, like a lot of other characters on this show, can be kind of an asshole at times. With the things that go down in Beacon Hills and the amount of stress it causes, that’s to be expected. We’ve seen Stiles suggest killing someone on several occasions, mainly out of anger and frustration, or just not knowing what to do next in order to get out of it.
But the reality of the situation is that Stiles just does not want people to die, and he definitely would never want be the cause of it. He definitely has a specific group of people he would do anything for and die for - but people tend to act like he only cares about those people, when in reality, he just cares about them the most. Boyd is not within that group of people. Neither are Isaac and Ethan. Stiles is an inherently good person and he cares. He also knows what death feels like and what it’s like to feel responsible.
Basically, what I’m trying to say, is that this trope of Stiles only caring about certain people and being coldblooded regarding others is just not realistic to me. Despite his flaws, Stiles is good. He means well. He is a hero, and if he can, he will try to save you even if he doesn’t really know you or like you.
#this dude ran towards a werewolf #that was hallucinating on wolfsbane #and holding a fucking handsaw #the same werewolf that’s out to kill his best fucking friend #and torment and hurt everyone stiles cares about #but did he think about those things?#nope #he only thought to save him #excuse me while i throw confetti around the room#because he can’t do what scott can do #but dammit does he do what he can do #and do it fucking well (via fistlinski)
I think that if they make abortion illegal, they should make men deserting women who they got pregnant illegal as well. Because if a women can’t back out of a pregnancy a man shouldn’t be able to either.
I agree.

to comfortably watch a movie, thE CURSOR NEEDS TO BE COMPLETELY OFF THE FUCKING SCREEN
This hit me like a ton of bricks. I’m still feeling a little nauseous after this realization.
This is a wonderful presentation. I just had to add these:
Don’t ever let anyone tell you that gender egalitarianism isn’t possible among humans, or that our species’ “natural” state is one of gender oppression.
^Let’s all remember this the next time someone tries to say that Africans are all a bunch of savages compared to us civilized folk.
shipping is NOT purely about sex
shipping is NOT believing two characters are already in a relationship
shipping is NOT wanting the show/book/movie to be purely about your ship
shipping is NOT automatically ignoring the actual overall plot
shipping is NOT a game
shipping IS, however, personally interpreting two characters’ feelings for each other as romantic and wanting their feelings to come to fruition so they can be happy
thank
if anyone starts talkin shit about Ms Blake I’m gonna smack all of you down. She didn’t scream, she didn’t cry, she closed the door and got the fuck out of dodge. She did the smart thing in that situation.
and honestly if you had this inhumanly attractive man walking slowly...
OKAY. HOLD UP.
I GET that this ship is not everyone’s ship, and I GET that trashing the show, actors, and writers is unacceptable and reflects badly on the fandom, BUT
EXCUSE the fuck out of me, but I’m not going to “move on” or accept destiel as impossible just because it would be ground breaking and risky.
You know what else was groundbreaking and risky? The first interracial kiss between a white man and a black woman on television in 1968 while the civil rights movement was still going on. Guess which show? Not some serious political drama, but Star Trek. That’s right. A niche television show loved deeply and loyally by its fans. Remind you of anything? That kiss was a risk, but it was also a totally awesome move on the part of the writers, producers, actors, and the NBC.
Imagine what it would mean for a show starring two stereotypically masculine brothers to have one of them go “wait, maybe this sexuallity stuff is a little more complicated…” in a show about demon hunting.
This is what happened with Star Trek in 1968, according to Nichelle Nichols, the black woman in question:
We received one of the largest batches of fan mail ever, all of it very positive, with many addressed to me from girls wondering how it felt to kiss Captain Kirk, and many to him from guys wondering the same thing about me. However, almost no one found the kiss offensive” except from a single mildly negative letter from one white Southerner who wrote: “I am totally opposed to the mixing of the races. However, any time a red-blooded American boy like Captain Kirk gets a beautiful dame in his arms that looks like Uhura, he ain’t gonna fight it.”
So I’m optimistic, because despite the risks, a move that bold would have only positive results for the show, the network, and the writers.
Well said.
It’s also not pleasant to tar all fans with the same brush. We’ve all been there, someone saying “___ fans are crazy! They harass the writers! They spread hate!”. Of course sometimes that happens, but we’re not all the same, and this goes for all ships and all fandoms. It’s not nice to lump everyone together under one big umbrella.
Sure Destiel might not happen. I’m a realistic person. I know it’s a huge leap and maybe Supernatural might not be brave enough to take that leap, but it wouldn’t be a BAD thing if they DID take that leap. May I please address the original post point by point?
… (even if the Producers/Writers wanted to!) the CW is NOT going to give them to go ahead…
Okay so here we’re implying that the CW is deeply homophobic. You’re saying that the CW would never consider showing a canon ‘gay’ couple on screen, but why? It’s not a ratings thing. It really isn’t. You see, even if they WERE worried about losing ratings due to their deep-seated homophobia section in the viewership, it wouldn’t matter if they made Destiel canon in their last season, in the last few episodes. Because what do ratings matter then? So you’re suggesting that the CW itself is homophobic. Which… is probably completely wrong, considering the CW is a ‘limited liability joint venture’ between CBS and Warner Bros. Both reputable, both I have not heard ‘homophobia’ in link with. Correct me if I’m wrong. I’m not going to cite figures and current shows and so on because I don’t know, but I’m not one to throw the word ‘homophobia’ around like it’s confetti at a parade, so until someone shows me how CW/CBS/Warner Bros are homophobic, I’m gonna say that no, they’re not in general. They just hunt ratings, aim their programming to specific areas (CW is apparently aimed at 18-34 year olds… very specific), and use standard promotion and tools to make sure their shows are popular, naturally.
You’re also implying with the “even if the Producers/Writers wanted to!” that TPTB for Supernatural are also homophobic. Which is drastically wrong. Some maybe are, but trust me the majority are not. I mean seriously. They’re not homophobic. So you’re saying we trash the show and the writers and yet you’ll gladly imply they’re homophobic because they’d never show a same sex relationship on air? That’s really offensive.
…& make their precious Alpha Male character Dean suddenly come ‘out’ as Gay (or Bi)…
I’d probably hand this over to the many people I know who identify with Dean because of their own sexuality, but I’m gonna try to take a crack on it on their behalf, from what they’ve told me many times now, because… why not?
Just because Dean is an ‘alpha male’ (which… okay if you know Dean you know you’re wrong, I’m not even going to start on this and our perception of Dean and John’s influence on him…) doesn’t mean he has to be heterosexual. It doesn’t mean he can’t DOUBT his sexuality. Dean wouldn’t ‘suddenly’ come out. There’s been subtext for a long time about his sexuality not being as it first seems, and in season 8 that subtext is loud and obvious.
So I’d like to say that if Dean did come out as anything other than straight, that you support him in that and understand that just because he’s bi (please he wouldn’t be gay… I think most of us respect that) doesn’t mean he can’t still be a deadly hunter, doesn’t mean he can’t be that manly man figure you look up to and want to sleep with, okay? Okay.
I’ve spoken to many people who identify Dean in such a way that he helped them to come to terms with their own sexuality. People who thought they weren’t bi because they didn’t fit into that box. People who thought they couldn’t be bi because of their parents and how they were raised. Dean gives people hope because even if he never outright says he’s bisexual, there’s enough subtext there for people to rely on, to cling to and treasure. So please don’t belittle his possible bisexuality.
… and put him in a sexual relationship with Castiel.
Just a point that not all Destiel fans just want a sexual relationship. A lot of us would be happy with a strong, emotional relationship between them, for their bond to be acknowledged in other ways. A lot of us would love to see a nice kiss, or for Dean to help Cas more intimately than just… well what we have currently. Or we’d just like those idiots to admit their feelings towards each other.
But twisting back around, what exactly is wrong with them having a sexual relationship? The amount of het sex scenes we’ve had on Supernatural is… well a lot. We saw steamy sex between Sam and Ruby, we saw Dean in the Impala with Anna. So why not Dean and Cas? Because they’re men? I’m afraid that, again, is homophobic.
There doesn’t even have to be an explicit sex scene, I’m sure most of us would be happy with the implication of it, the morning after or the moments before. But dammit, I want same sex sex! I want them to take that jump because it’d be so ground-breaking it’d open up a crater. Yeah it’s unheard of pretty much in this context, and that’s what makes it so amazing. So, I ask you, what would be so bad about it? Is it because your precious views on the manly man Dean Winchester would be skewed if he had a cock up his ass? You wouldn’t, I hope, take that view on people in real life, so why on TV? I’d hope you’d support someone in their decisions if they were a real person so how about we show Dean and Cas some common courtesy.
CW just won’t take that chance!
I’m just going to say I disagree here considering how much Supernatural has already fucked with religion and standard views on the world. I’m just going to put one quote here: “I’m utterly indifferent to sexual orientation.”
Not to mention that the Actors might (possibly) not want to do it!
They’re actors. Not homophobes. Plus have you seen our cast out and about?
Maybe they can (please) stop trashing the Show & the Writers and either just enjoy it (as is) or move on.
Maybe you can stop attacking people for actually enjoying something, for supporting something that would change their lives drastically, make the world a little more bearable. Again you’re tarring people with the same brush. There’s a select minority of people who trash the show and writers, and it’s not just the Destiel fandom. As an example, we have the people who scream and cry and insult the writers because they didn’t get enough moments between Dean and Sam and Castiel dared to have 5 seconds on the screen. We are not the only ones, and we’re not all like that.
Also, and I know I don’t speak for all of us here, which upsets me, but a lot of us DO enjoy the show as it is. We love Supernatural and we’d keep watching even if Destiel didn’t happen, but that doesn’t stop us from supporting it, from campaigning for it and wanting it to happen. We won’t move on, because we don’t need to.
Because I’m 70% sure Destiel is going to happen and it’s only 70% because I know Supernatural’s track record of killing characters off. I believe it’s going to happen, and that isn’t going to change.
I tried to be eloquent and probably failed.
man razors always seem to be better built than lady shavers
why am i expected to remove all hair from nose to toe with a rusty knife glued onto a cheap pink plastic stick on an almost daily basis
if it is insisted that i be as hairless as a sphynx with alopecia swimming in a vat of radioactive nair i should at least be given razors that can sustain a single session of chopping down the dense and beautiful forestry that covers my upside-down canada for fuck’s sake
WHY DO WE EVEN HAVE GENDERED DEODORANTS IF IM A GROWN ASS MAN AND I WANT TO SMELL LIKE COCOA BUTTER KISS THEN I FUCKIN WILL
