This is canon right
Can we just talk about the range of facial expressions in this picture.
imaging spending hundreds of dollars to go see spring awakening only to think that the vineyard scene is comic relief
why is it I know the entirety of the original cast recording of Spring Awakening off by heart but still can’t remember the quadratic formula
this is a post dedicated to ali stroker bc she’s the love of my life
i saw her at denver thescon this weekend and she spoke for about an hour and it was the most important hour of my entire life
she talked about how her wheelchair became something to be proud of throughout her life, even though it makes it more difficult to make it in the theatre world. she also talked about confidence and self esteem issues and how she got into nyu and she said something along the lines of “sometimes you go somewhere expecting to be educated and end up becoming the educator” (wow what a line!!!) in reference to how the staff at nyu told her she might not be the best fit for the school and then she absolutely destroyed them in dance class
she talked about how when she did spring awakening she was absolutely stunned to realize that she was the first person in a wheelchair to perform on broadway
and! she discussed the glee project and how she first auditioned for glee and they didnt actually call her for three whole years
speaking of glee! she talked about how you shouldn’t cast able-bodied characters in disabled roles and she got Very intense and it was amazing!!!
she sang three songs which were all absolutely stunning. idk the names of the other two but she sang Human Heart from once on this island and i almost DIED
she made a bi joke! “i told them i was on the straight path, but i’ve never been good at that” ICON
in conclusion, ali stroker is amazing and wonderful and i almost died when i saw her on stage
