Say what you want about witches, but I bet you a “normal” person doesn’t know how to make a pie that will cause you to die of multiple organ failure within a day
Who’s your favorite musical artist to listen to while practicing your craft?
Mine would probably be Peter Gundry or Lucas King (both found on Youtube and Spotify)
Doin some toxic plant sketches for my baneful herbs notes

Witch Book Recommendation!
Let’s start off with an apology for not being as active! Shit happens y’know.
The book I wanted to recommend is:
Backwoods Witchcraft: Conjure Folk Magic from Appalachia by Jake Richards
This is a book I picked up last summer, and just got around to reading it. I wanted to step out of my normal comfort zone of modern witchcraft I’ve discovered on Tumblr, and go into something more traditional. And what’s more traditional than traditions passed down through generations of families throughout the Appalachians? Backwoods Witchcraft gives you a basic rundown of the traditions of Appalachia. Haints and how to ward them, bottles, dolls, remedies, curses, etc. It gives you a look into their ancestors and spirits of their hills.
A fine mixture of Native traditions and the Lord, Backwoods Witchcraft is a really good read into a really great folk magic tradition written by a man of the heritage himself.
There’s still people out there who believe that the existence of witches is a myth like social media isn’t full of damn communities of them
2020 new year new witch goals!!
I got two new notebooks for Christmas and I'll be participating in the 2020 Grimoire Challenge!!
I plan to at least fill up these notebooks this time, rather than throw them out because I didn't like how they looked.
2020 is my year to study the things I want to focus more on. Less communicating with spirits, more just respecting them. I wanna study herbalism, weather and astrology.
Hopes to you guys accomplishing your goals for this year too 💙🌿😃

Hello my herbal lads!! Friendly reminder that you shouldn't just look up metaphysical properties of plants!! Please please please look up physical properties too! If you take any meds, will that plant react badly with it? What dosage is good? What side effects can it have? A little nutmeg is good, but too much can have you tripping shit.
Research the mundane to go along with metaphysical!! It's important to practice safely!!

Physical uses: commonly used orally for stomach problems such as spasms, loss of appetite, intestinal gas, diarrhea, and constipation
Basil safety:
-POSSIBLY UNSAFE when taken by mouth as a medicine, long-term. Basil contains estragole, a chemical that might increase the risk of getting liver cancer.
Special precautions and Warning:

-Children: Basil is LIKELY SAFE for children in food amounts. But larger medicinal amounts are POSSIBLY UNSAFE. Basil contains a chemical, estragole, which has caused liver cancer in laboratory mice.
