Okay, so. Warner Bros. released the official title and logo for the new Superman sequel yesterday, and to be honest, I am horribly disappointed.

First off, lets start off with how incredibly fan-made this image is. Its something I could have done, and I'm not that great. The Bat logo is also super ugly.

Secondly, this is a Superman sequel featuring Batman. Not a Batman movie featuring Superman. The movie should be titled Superman v Batman, not the other way around... And speaking of the title...

Why is it Batman versus Superman and not Batman and Superman? These two are friends, not enemies.

And now for the subtitle. Its pretty meh for me, but I was one of the ones hoping for "World's Finest". It actually makes sense, since Wonder Woman and Cyborg (and possibly more) are in the movie, and is possibly the beginning of the Justice League.

Anyways, I rate this image/logo/title/ a 4 out of 10. Its just not good.

Geoff Johns Confirms Big Changes For DC In April 2014!

Johns said this about the changes,

"But in this series we have a lot of big surprises, big changes, and come April the DC Universe will be a very different place leading into and throughout 2014. The first phase of the New 52 is drawing to a close and as Forever Evil wraps up a new phase begins — one that will see the introduction, and re-introduction, of a lot of characters, concepts and a decidedly new center to the DC universe. Keep your eyes on Lex. He’s the one to watch."

Sounds promising, I guess. I just hope Wally is one of those characters. I frankly miss all the characters in limbo...

FOREVER EVIL

Since the launch of the New 52, the mysterious presence of Pandora has been leading us to one massive conflict, Trinity War, which itself is merely a precursor to DC Comics’ first event series since Flashpoint in 2011: Forever Evil.

Forever Evil #1 kicks off DC’s Villains Month in September, where a series of one-shots will celebrate the ever-popular rogues community in the DCU. Up to this point, readers have assumed that Forever Evil would be about the usual suspects taking control of the world while the heroes flounder to recover from the events of Trinity War

Everything we thought we knew about the series is wrong. Up to this point, we’ve believed that the Secret Society of Super Villains has been in control, manipulating the Justice League and turning public opinion against them.

The fact is that there’s an even higher power, one that will be revealed at the end of Trinity War in Justice League #23 – “The Crime Syndicate will be the ones leading the charge to take the world in Forever Evil.  The Crime Syndicate’s debut in the New 52 calls back to their roots – a team of twisted, evil incarnations of the Justice League that come from the parallel Earth-3.

The Flash Is Coming.

The Flash is getting his own TV show on The CW. Holy crap.

The CW made jaws drop Tuesday morning when network president Mark Pedowitz announced the home to Arrow is developing a series based on DC Comics character The Flash. Barry Allen, the alter ego of the lightning-fast Scarlet Speedster, will be introduced in the eighth and ninth episode and brought back in episode twenty for a backdoor pilot episode.

Casting for the role is taking place right now, while Berlanti, Kreisberg and Geoff Johns write the three Barry Allen episodes.

"When we first meet Barry Allen, he's just a forensic scientist … an ordinary man," Kreisberg said, stressing the character, like Amell's vigilante, will be grounded in reality and as realistic as possible. The first two episodes will see the character in Queen's home of Starling City, with the 20th providing a window to see Barry in The Flash's world.
"Part of the fun for the audience … is to see how we view our Arrow take on the Flash legacy," Kreisberg said. "Some of it will feel very familiar to DC Comics, some of it hopefully will feel different, fresh and exciting. The same way we approached Arrow is the same way we're approaching Barry."
One of the things that grounds CW'sArrow is the fact that the series isn't about individuals with superpowers -- with The Flash a clear violation of that. Producers noted that they'll handle the introduction of Barry's superspeed in a way that isn't commonplace. "There will be extraordinary events in the world and the characters will react in the same way," Kreisberg noted.
"The fact he has superpowers, there's something more relatable about Barry among the Big Seven of the Justice League," he added. "He got his powers by accident; he's not a god, he's not an alien … his reactions to that feel very … human and grounded."
SinceFlash is a backdoor pilot episode ofArrow, the character will mix it up with Oliver -- providing a stark contrast between the two heroes.
"Oliver Queen is a very dark and tortured soul, and Barry is not," Kreisberg said, noting he will have a profound impact on Oliver, Diggle and Felicity. "He's a great character who is going to affect all of our characters' lives. It will be fun … to see these two characters together because they have two different worlds."
Added Johns: "We're also exploring a very personal story for Barry -- life as a forensic scientist and the people around him, the tragedies and how he deals with them -- in a very different way than Oliver Queen." The intention, they noted, will be to add toArrowinstead of stripping away characters from the series should the spinoff move forward, meaning it's likely the residents of Starling City will remain there.
Johns reiterated that the Justice League member will be seen as The Flash -- complete with his trademark red costume and not a poor imitation. Added Kreisberg: "No sweat suits or strange code names; he will be The Flash."
Producers haven't yet figured out how they plan to depict the Flash's lightning speed but Johns insisted it won't just be the standard "blurring around."
"It's not what people expect," Kreisberg said. "We want to do something fresh, new and exciting and give people a real cinematic experience the same way we did with Arrow."
As for casting, Kreisberg would only note that the process -- which will be overseen by the same casting director who handles Arrow -- has begun. "Blonds will be preferred," he joked.
