in 1986 disney changed the name of “basil of baker street” to “the great mouse detective,” which they considered less ambiguous and confusing. this really pissed off a lot of employees, including one animator who issued this fake memo.

my personal favorites include “puppies taken away,” “robin hood with animals,” and “aristocats.”

Is ‘a girl seemed to die’ sleeping beauty or snow white

snow white is “seven little men help a girl” so i’m assuming that one is sleeping beauty i’m having trouble w/ “color and music”, “the boy who would be king”, and “the evil bonehead”. i don’t think i’m classic disney enough lol

“Color and Music” is Fantasia, and “The Boy Who Would Be King” is Sword In The Stone. I assume “The Evil Bonehead” is The Black Cauldron, but I would’ve called it DND With More Annoying Scrappy-Doo, personally.

I like that they were just like, “Fuck it, ‘Aristocats’ was a terrible name, leave it as-is,” though. Dedication.

But in all fairness, “Basil of Baker Street” was a shitty name. The Great Mouse Detective’s a bit on the damn nose, but how familiar is your target audience with Sir Arthur ConanDoyle that “Baker Street” makes sense to them, or would be a better pitch than “he is a mouse, and also a detective”? They’re six. Let it go.

I want to see someone try and tell me something about me hating Frozen. Come on, just do it. I dare you.

Frozen deserves a sequel just as much as any other Disney movie does.

Saying that it doesn’t deserve a sequel is a lot like saying how The Lion King didn’t deserve any of its sequels.

It’s like saying Toy Story didn’t deserve 2 sequels (and now a 3rd).

It’s like saying Finding Nemo doesn’t deserve a sequel.

It’s like saying The Incredibles doesn’t deserve a sequel.

It’s like saying Wreck-It Ralph doesn’t deserve a sequel.

It’s like saying Big Hero 6 doesn’t deserve a sequel.

It’s like saying any Disney movie doesn’t deserve a sequel.

You don’t like Frozen? Guess what, no one cares. No one is forcing you to see the sequel. Just like how no one is forcing you to see any Disney movies at all.

The animation team worked hard on that movie just like how every animation team at Disney does. There’s a lot of kids and young adults who still love Frozen and are ecstatic about it and that’s who their target audience is.

You don’t have to see Frozen 2, go see Finding Dory or Incredibles 2. Whatever floats your boat, but I’m going to see every sequel Disney makes because not only do I love their movies, but because I support the hard work that goes into them.

God knows animated movies are under-appreciated.

Just like you voice your opinion about how we SHOULDNT voice ours, I'm here to say we are VERY much allowed to say that Frozen doesn't deserve a sequel, well at least not the way it's getting it. There are movies that are way more deserving of it. Movies that haven't completely cleared the story up, UNLIKE Frozen has. It's just going to be the same premise. There's not much to do with it anymore. Honestly, and really think honestly, you know the reason is because of the cash flow it brought it. Nuff said.
