Also it’s interest how the intent was for Tommy to come out looking bad meanwhile most of the fans are sympathizing with him because 1. The biphobia is on the writers not Tommy 2. It’s just sad for Tommy a character who spent so much of his screen time longing for a family to end up sad and alone. All they did with this breakup is cause people to root for Tommy more than they cared about Buck’s sadness.
they really tried to make him the bad guy, cause buck can never be that in the break-up, even when he cheated. but the writing was so incongruous with all previous characterization that we collectively said "fuck that". you told us how much tommy was looking for a family, looking for a place to belong, and then do that? what did they expect but to look like the asshole? you can only keep the fourth wall intact so long as the writing makes enough sense for the audience not to look. this didn't make sense, we're looking, and we're seeing the writers, we're seeing who to actually blame
why are you angry with us for believing what you wrote before this episode?
Umm is this a beard break up?? Our boy Buck is going through it 😭
9-1-1 -> 3x12 ❝ fools ❞
I'd love to say a couple of things to express why I love Tommy and to respond to the whole "how can you love Tommy and why do you love Tommy when he was this and that?" I keep seeing this a lot and I just block because right now I'm not in a mood to argue with a wall.
You see, we are not dealing with Tommy from s2, we are dealing with Tommy after 7 years of that, who changed and worked on himself, and not to mention he didn't forget his past and he admitted he was not a good person.
We are dealing with Tommy who "made😭" my favourite boy happy, showed up for him, took care of him, let him set the pace, made him feel comfortable, flirted with him, slept on a tiny couch so he could be near Evan if he needed anything, told him he's adorable and a vision in a cone.
And that's what? In 9 episodes? I want more, I want to get to know him more, know more about his past ,his relationships, why he's so lonely.
He's perfect, well almost, but still perfect and he fits in the show and with evan, he fits with Eddie perfectly too, which I love so much.
I don't know about everyone else but this is why I adore him and they can never make me hate Thomas kinard.

LETHAL!!!! I’M FUCKING DEAD ON THE FLOOR HOW COULD YOU!!!!!
I am heartbroken, hurt, and angry about the outcome of these "Confessions" on 9-1-1. Though I know it probably won't make a difference, I want to show the creators and higher-ups of 9-1-1 just how loved Tommy and Lou are by fans worldwide. To everyone involved in how this storyline ended: please realize just how truly awful the message you're sending is. Tommy deserved better than what he received here. Gay men on this show deserve better than what they’ve been given.
If nothing else, please consider signing and sharing this petition to get their attention and call them out on their treatment of Tommy, the Buck-Tommy relationship, and the portrayal of gay men on this show. Let’s make our voices heard!

THAT INTERVIEW!! WTF OLIVER?!?!?!? I’d NEVER imagine Oli saying those things!! WHAT THE F
This proves that you simply can NEVER trust a straight man to do us, queer people, justice. Disgusting. Simply disgusting.
Ohhh oh oh so Oliver Stark wants the biphobia storyline cool cool cool cool cool
Putting Josh's big speech about respecting other queer men in the same episode where the writers couldn't even respect their queer male characters or queer audience was definitely a choice...
Tevan are at the Italian restaurant. The Hot Waiter flirts with Buck. Buck's kinda oblivious. He unintentionally flirts back. Buck pays this time, and inside the folder with his card and receipt is Hot Waiter's phone number. Buck is a little weirded out because he feels like it's obvious he and Tommy are on a date.
For the most part, Tommy watches Buck and Hot Waiter's interaction in amusement. He jokes whether Buck is he's going to call him, and Buck is taken aback. Then Tommy gets serious.
So. ADghsjdghsjdghsldjghs.
Okay.
@sherlocking-out-loud came up with the first bit of this really likely sounding theory, so this is all due to her.
She asked, HOW does Tommy inadvertently, unknowingly make a confession? Is he talking in his sleep?
To which I said, ok, what if he actually does? And he says "I love you," which then has Buck spiral because did he really mean it if he was asleep? Was it just an "aww I love ya" or a deeply profound "I am deeply and madly in love with you and have come to love you as a part of my life" version of an I love you?
He goes to Maddie and Josh, tells them about it, Josh grins like a loon about it and says how cute, he loves you, good for you. Now where can I get myself a hunk of a man that loves me?
And then at the end of the episode, where the stills come in play, Buck tells Tommy what he said, and at first Tommy has that caught look on his face like in the one pic. Where are those stills... Ah here.
This look, slightly tense. Okay, I said that? Uhhh was that too much too soon?
And maybe Buck asks him if he really meant it, or he doesn't, but in either case he says "I love you too."
Which then has Tommy go
I mean. Am I clowning or... could Sherlock and I have cracked the code?
Edit: Oh and I forgot the last part. The last part is that Tommy then also makes another confession, according to Tim, which could be that he's never been this in love with anyone before, or even been in a lasting committed relationship like this.
what if Tommy hasn't ever been in love before? what if that somehow comes up and he says it without thinking and Buck - who's fallen hard and fast - spirals because he knows he loves Tommy and at the end he does the whole, "I'm not expecting you to say it back but I love you" thing, at which point Tommy confesses he's never been in love because he's never been in a relationship long enough to fall in love.
and then he confesses that he loves Buck too
the family we chose.
