So I actually do need to have a candle lit dinner with him, you see-"

Typical breakfast conversation is Gortash fishing out the mornings newspapers and reading the names from the obituary.

Durge just immediately responds: yes, no, no, yes, yes, yes, maybe, to the ones they have & haven’t killed.

Gortash doesn’t even need to ask they just do it automatically based off this sort of unhinged energy they have.

it has been said before but it still gets me how durgetash makes blasphemers of each other. The Chosen of Bhaal that wants one man to live. The chosen of Bane that won't accept the other's submission. Excellent flavour

Banite-Bhaalian cultural exchange: Gortash attends a ritual sacrifice, Durge gets dressed up and goes to a ball. Gortash helps assassinate someone, Durge commits tax fraud. Gortash dissects a living person, Durge learns about bureaucracy.

DUrge FLAYING themselves (according to a book in Orin's chambers) over their alliance with "the other chosen",

The way Gortash beams when he learns we live, his expression when it's DUrge he sees (opposed to Tav) at the coronation, calling us nearest and dearest and after a successful insight check it's clear he's genuine about being our equal in power. An act that contradicts his conduct of tyranny/domination as a Baneite.

Gortash's name being "Sickenly familiar" when we first hear it, all while DUrge cannot recall anything else, even their own name. But Gortash, his name they remember.

Whether they were acted upon or not there's no convincing me there weren't romantic feelings between the chosen of Bhaal and Bane.

Shipping Gortash and the Durge is so funny cause it fully implies they Ketheric had to sit there at weekly evil plan meetings after he joined up and watch them be intolerably horny with each other. Gortash suggests that he should build exploding collars and makes meaningful eye contact with the Durge and Ketheric wants to throw his notebook across the room

what if our hands accidentally brushed against each other during our weekly evil meeting and I act cool but then later I crawl back to my sewers and vomit out of anxiety and scrape my knees bloody as I pray against the altar of my father and swear, I swear, I don't love you, I don't even like you, and that my last actions on this planet will be to ensure that we die by the same blade, in the same motion, only after everyone else

and then I go back to you the next day and I'm like "hey :) feeling totally normal :) I only want to kill you the normal amount :)"
