For all things will kill you, both slowly and fastly, but it's much better to be killed by a lover.

I cut you out because I couldn't stand being a passing fancy. Before I give my body, I must give my thoughts, my mind, my dreams. And you weren't having any of those.
-Sylvia Plath, The Unabridged Journals of Sylvia Plath
I wish I could be normal about affection but my love language is merging souls😮💨
When Charles Bukowski said,
"I loved you like a man loves a woman he never touches, only writes to, keep little photographs of."
(Love is a dog from Hell)
AND
"I want so much that is not here. And I do not know where to go."
I am headcanoning the two quotes being related to the concept of purest, innocent love; that 'keeping your love's polaroid photos with you everywhere you go' type of love, 'having eyes only for that one person who makes you weak in the knees' type of love, 'no one else catches your attention anymore' type of love, 'writing letters and poetry for them just because they exist' type of love and a whole lot of other sweet gestures that show how much you love them...but all that is not to be found here, not in these times and it makes me feel like I require so much that no one can offer and I do not know where to go and find it...I need me a Bukowski 🩵🥹

People using others to feel good about themselves then wonder why they're constantly having identity crisis when people leave them.
you're not even your own person and you're trying to join your life with someone...how selfish can you really be???
And THAT will be my revenge!

Kahlil Gibran
He said 'ily' but Dostoevsky said ,
"...she tortures me, tortures me with her love... In the past it was only that infernal body of hers that tortured me, but now I've taken all her soul into my soul and through her I've become a man."
'I should have been more kind'
That is something a person will never regret. You will never say to yourself, when you are old, "Ah , I wish I was never good to that person ." You will never think that.
Khaled Hosseini ( And the mountains echoed)
"You are a wonderful creation.
You know more than you think you know, just as you know less than you want to know."
Oscar Wilde, The Picture of Dorian Gray
( now I'm even losing my name- it was getting shorter and shorter all the time and is now: Yours)"
~ Franz Kafka (Letters to Milena)
"Love her, love her, love her!
If she favours you, love her. If she wounds you, love her.
If she tears your heart to pieces – and as it gets older and stronger, it will tear deeper – love her, love her, love her!"
Charles Dickens (Great Expectations)
"But what cares she that jewels should be lost,
When all of Nature’s bounteous wealth is hers?
Though princely fortunes may have been their cost,
Not one regret her calm demeanor stirs."
~Alan Cohen ,extract from 'Carpe Diem'
