hearing about the story of a prodigal alchemist being able to build an army of ancient automatons by himself to essentially fight the rich?? that's like his dream guy right there (and still is in the present)
There's a headcannon out there that Hugo's a Villian Varian stan, but he doesn't know it's varian. I like the idea of his brain shutting down when he finds out.
him not knowing/realizing the Mad Alchemist he gushes about was actually the same guy he's traveling with in a quest is so funny but so juicy as an idea.
like i love that so much, it's like a perfect tool to set up the sinking realization to varian that he could really just truly be himself around hugo without worrying that the other would look at him different.
also love the idea that the mad alchemist has an opposite effect to Ingvarrians, like as a society they pride themselves with advanced innovation, they prbbly think the Mad Alchemist is a legend lmao like nevermind that he committed treason we're not interested bout that boring stuff but can we talk about his scientific brilliance??

While scouring the edges of the Internet for any vat7k content, I've noticed many people altering Varian's height in their fics/art/etc. a lot of them make him taller, which I know is probably just because being tall is considered attractive by many and/or ofc people change over time, but it always just seemed off to me. Idk, I guess I just feel it would be funny if even as an adult he's still just over 5' and everyone grew except for him 😭

I find it so funny how in none of the Vat7k fan fictions does Varian ever call Hugo "red cheeks" or something like that. But for some reason so many make Hugo give Varian the nickname "Sweet cheeks"
as funny as "sweet cheeks" is, i personally prefer the "freckles" nickname cuz sweet cheeks just make it sound like he's sayin Varian looks like an ass or smth (as rivals, i can tolerate it in that sense since he'd be jabbing at V to rile him up as one does to one's rival) but obviously nothin tops "goggles" its just the perfect one. It's not our Hugo if he doesnt call Varian that at least once or twice in a fic
i do like ones where Varian calls him four eyes as a jab back at him. but also please please Varian calling Hugo "blondie" to match Hugo's "freckles" nickname. Its even like a lil nod to team awesome with Varian most likely having heard his big brother Eugene use that nickname a couple of times around Raps, now he has an excuse to adapt the nickname for his own special blonde

The thing is i didn't really like svtfoe that much too but that show certainly had the best and the most creative fandom I've ever seen that's why I miss it . Cressieverse was soo good written especially the OCs . It's so sad it had to be over
waa thank you anon! thats really flattering that you think our silly project in the past was well-written, we tried to expand the world building as much as we could back then. It is sad it never have fully realized cuz of unexpected turn of events but the OCs are not entirely forgotten, me and the others have intentions to repurpose and isekai ours elsewhere in other projects we might decide to work on in the future!
