as of today, there are once again pictures from my favourite german city. The pictures were taken in late spring during several walks in places that i often passed through as a resident and now visited as a tourist. you see them with different eyes.

liebermann-villa // berlin wannsee

even though the liebermann villa is located on the outskirts of berlin, it is definitely worth a visit. the villa's gardens have been reconstructed in recent years, also with the help of the painter's paintings. due to the forced sale to the nazis by liebermann's widow and the changeable subsequent use, nothing remains of the villa itself from the time it was used as a residence. a walk through the building and the gardens, however, gives a good idea of why max liebermann liked to stay there so much.
