spinning in circles thinking abt robotnik men making their little creations and if they're bad and lame and useless then they can explode or be chained to the center of the moon for all they care. but if they're successful... if they're useful and like to be around them... well, really they thought of them as their child all along! the difference between shadow and sage/metal/other robots being that shadow is an organic person, gerald has to accept him how he is bc he can't just be reprogrammed to be more convenient--oh wait he can!!!
