Apparently the Dark Cacao kingdom army gets tired easily and they just live on non-sugary foods. Clotted Cream commented to Crunchy Chip that it's basically not proper nourishment for cookies to have a sugar-free diet. This makes me imagine that sugar is to cookies what water is to humans, basically. They're made of a lot of sugar and need sugar to strengthen themselves and survive. This seems to be the case too as the Sugar-Free Road is described as being an uninhabitable desert. Anyway one of Affogato's main goals was to allow residents of the Dark Cacao kingdom to have sweets so he was unfortunately right in this aspect of his motives

Snakefruit Cookie's head accessory, I'm guessing that's what it's supposed to be, reminds me a lot of Affogato Cookie — they could have ties to one another?

It wouldn't be the first time a character from both Ovenbreak and Kingdom are connected in some way... Almond and Walnut Cookie being an example.

I often see people compare the coffee-based Cookies to cats, because of their eyes, but it could possibly be snakes / reptiles instead?

I'm pretty sure it's just a coincidence

Affogato's headpiece is less due to where his loyalties lie and more tied to the East-Asian culture Dark Cacao Kingdom is based on, where it's meant to show off his status, his role as an advisor, and to hint a bit at how self-important he is by how extravagantly it adds to his attire.

Snakefruit Cookie having a similar headpiece is likely less that they're directly related, just that they're drawing from the same inspirations.

In reference to cats versus reptiles: while Dark Cacao Kingdom does have that oreo cookie looking dragon, I think the cat comparisons are much more appropriate. The art book talks about how coffee cookies are "quick and agile and are known to last without sleep for several knights" and even how this constricts their eyes making them look more cat-like, and Cookie Run usually saves references to reptiles to Dragons, exclusively, bar a few exceptions like Dino Sour Cookie (who ultimately is tied to looking for the dragons) and Jelly Serpent Cookie.
