too tired to finish the joke, but the cats here are weird.
Oh you know, just sharing pics of the cats.
Something I drew back in December. At the time I remember being very unhappy with it, but looking back on it now I think the simplicity and sketchiness makes it look cute.
Thus, have Shadow and Sweetie Pie being the best cats they can be.
getting used to drawing with a tablet again. this is my new take on @darkwingsnark ‘s cat, Shadow, now that I’ve actually met him; an enormous muscle man with a penchant for eating fake xmas trees.
Me catching Shadow on the counter when he knows he’s not supposed to be there, and him just having a good time.
Trying to let my varnish dry on my cat caterpillar I made, and Shadow keeps wanting to bat at it. He’s been obsessed with this figurine since I started making it-- even one time ripping its’ tail off while dragging it around the apartment. Shadow doesn’t act like this with any of my other things, specifically this.
Shadow decided he belonged in the trash. Some day we’ll help him with his self esteem.
@darkwingsnark asked me to draw her baby boy, Shadow. I’ve not met him yet, but I’ve heard stories.
Had to draw Shadow and myself for a future youtube video. So slapped a quick background to post this on its own.
Cure for the sick feelings? A prescription of cat visits.
Story Time!
So the last couple of days Shadow, the cat, has been going out on the balcony with me when I exercise. He’s been enjoying the smell of the garden mom has started there, and the fresh air has been helping me not get bored biking in my room. It was later that I had finished and was off working on commissions, when mom was working on the herbs she’s planting. Shadow decided to go out with her, but when she was ready to go inside, he instead went and hid under the bench and refused to budge. It was after a few times of yelling and demanding he get out from under there, she came into my room to get me to solve the problem.
Mom: ‘[Snark!] Please grab Shadow! He won’t come inside!’
I shrug but do so anyway. There have been a few bees hanging around, and I knew I didn’t feel comfortable with him potentially having his curiosity get the better of him and getting stung. [It would be bad for him AND the bees who were just trying to look for food. :c] So yes, I make my way across the apartment, open the door and next thing we knew both the cat and I were inside.
Mom was stunned, having just walked back into the living room expecting me to still be trying to convince Shadow to get in the apartment.
Mom: ‘WAIT, how did you get him to come inside?’ Me: ‘Oh, I just asked him.’
It was true. It didn’t take much convincing. I gave him a pet and asked if he wanted to come inside with me. It didn’t seem like anything ground breaking. Mom, however, was silent. She makes a face before it turns into a laugh. This is followed by a declaration many don’t hear from their parents. A good ol’: ‘MAN, I hate you!’
All in all, I was amused. Just goes to show that maybe you shouldn’t jump straight to yelling at little creatures, when a simple asking for cooperation can go a long way.
Today is a ‘need pics of Shadow’ sort of day. So here you guys go.
Last night sketched the cats. Don't let Sweetie Pie's skittish nature fool you, she's a good kitty. Shadow, on the other hand, is a ball of curiosity. But makes up for it by being very affectionate. [Trust me, he woke me up at 5 am just to get cuddles...]
And these on their own because I find them funny.
It’s Special Boy o’clock.
Today is a ‘take photos with your sister’s cat’ sort of day. Shadow lookin’ fanceh~
