Hey so I've seen a lot of fanfiction stories out there that focus on the relationship dynamic between Mulder and Scully with emphasis on gender roles, which I think is great. Unfortunately it includes, to my knowledge so far, always heavy kink elements and lots of heavy sexual content that is pretty far down the wrong way in my opinion. I think you know what I mean by that.
So anyways, I still really like the general approach, I would just definitely like to take a different junction. I would like to write a story, maybe a case file, as that makes a lot of sense with those two, that puts them into a situation where they have to live according to very traditional gender roles and the way of life from past centuries maybe (1800s most likely). So we basically take this part of their already existing dynamic and emphasize it through a particular surrounding. Just to try and see how it develops and what we may discover about them on the way. It will not focus on nor include sexual intermeshing. I would like to take their dynamic from seasons 1-3/ maybe 4, because it was the most fresh and interesting there. This story will also surely include many religious elements.
Now I guess my general question is - would you be interested in reading this or nah? :)
I'm really glad that there seem to be some people interested in this. I always need to be in a certain X-files mood to write something but just as an FYI, I will try to write something this upcoming November. I was very sick in October and then I spent every waking minute dealing with family chores and responsibilities but I'm hopeful that this will be over by the end of October finally. So I'll have time and a bit of verve to start writing something. :)
