Chapter 2 is here, please heed the TW's, and sorry not sorry in advance for hurting you all with this one <3
How did Matt go from his shaky return to his civilian self at the end of S3 to the cocky, thriving, successful lawyer we know and love - with an in with the Avengers, I may add - in No Way Home and She-Hulk?
After living in fight or flight for a prolonged time, one won't really process everything until the danger has subsided. I wonder if, after the final battle with Fisk, after he took back his identity and started to breathe like a civilian again, Matt sunk into the darkness. And I wonder how he climbed back out of it.
This is the story of how Matt sought out help.

“Three days,” Foggy had said to him, barging into his office one late afternoon.
“What?” Matt had asked, pulling out his ear bud.
“It’s been three days since you’ve smiled, Matty.”
Matt had huffed out a flat laugh, rolling his eyes and shooting Foggy a grin that even he could feel came out as a grimace. “Here. You missed my teeth that much?”
Foggy came closer to his desk, grasping at Matt’s hand and hunching his back in the way he did when he wanted to be sincere. Matt cast his head to the sky, leaning back in his chair.
“Matt. I’m not trying to make you feel bad. But I’m worried about you, bud. You… listen. I’m not going to therapize you. You know as well as I do how these things work, we’ve both spent enough time speaking to specialists about, uh,” Foggy shook his head and rushed the word out like it was poison. “PTSD.”
