this same practice of thinking that m/f couples arent included in queer identity also is incredibly harmful to trans people, asexuals, aromantics, and anyone else that doesnt fall under the blanket of easily identifiable as gay or lesbian. sit down shut up and stop trying to define us out of queerness.

Oh, and happy Pride Month by the way! A few reminders for everyone:

  • Trans women are women
  • Trans men are men
  • Non-binary people are non-binary
  • Transgender gay people are not heterosexual and to identify them as such minimizes the difficulty they face
  • Using a person's correct name and pronouns are not conditional nor optional
  • If you mix up a person's name or pronouns, don't make it a big deal; just correct yourself and move on with your day
  • It's okay if you need time to figure yourself out, lots of people (queer or otherwise) do
  • Bisexuality, pansexuality, omnisexuality, and polysexuality may broadly overlap in their definitions but the distinction matters to some and that's okay
  • Positive and accurate queer representation belongs in film and television
  • TERFs aren't feminists, they are bigots, there's a massive difference
  • The A in 2SLGBTQIA+ stands for asexual, aromantic, and agender, NOT ally

  • we have no national language, so english should not be demanded
  • the u.s. is stolen land, therefore we are the immigrants
  • this nation is built and run on immigration
  • immigrants make america great
  • there is no such thing as an illegal human
  • capitalism is a tool used to suppress the working class
  • it also hurts more people than it helps
  • only the wealthy benefit from our economic system
  • billionaires hoard the majority of wealth and account for 76% of unpaid taxes
  • the existence of billionaires prevents working class people from being able to afford basic human needs
  • billionaires do not work for the money they get; they exploit their workers and give them only a small sliver of what they work for
  • if you are working class, the odds of you becoming a billionaire are 1 in 1.2 million, or .000083%
  • the American Dream is a lie sold to you by billionaires in order to disincentivize the working class from taking back their money and, essentially, their autonomy
  • healthcare is a right that all people should have access to; easily curable diseases should not be the cause of our demise, especially by a government that preaches "protect and serve"

  • the ones saying "we can't afford it" are the ones that profit the most off of fossil fuels, which contribute to 89% of global warming
  • billionaires make money off of polluting and killing the earth, so when you see them make "charitable donations" to help the planet, just know that's like stealing $1,000,000 and then giving back $2, while simultaneously stealing more
  • aces and aros are not inherently straight, and belong in LGBTQ+ spaces
  • bisexuals don't need to date someone of the same gender to prove their queerness
  • trans women are real women
  • trans men are real men
  • nonbinary people exist
  • cishets benefit from a deep-rooted privilege, and have never been/will never be killed because of their gender or sexuality
  • pedophiles will never be considered LGBTQ+ and need to be kept away from children at all times
  • women are substantially more likely to be blamed for their own assault than the perpetrator
  • rapists, especially those that are male, are incredibly likely to be acquitted of all crimes in a court of law, if the case even makes it that far
  • rapists are also likely to rape again, repeatedly, before they're caught, and the point above will almost certainly happen again
  • sexual assault is not caused by women who wear "provocative" clothing, it is caused by men, and the occasional female assailant, who act like primitive animals and have no business being allowed within 50 feet of another human being
  • trans women are more likely to be victims of sexual assault than cis women, and more measures need to be taken to protect them
  • pro-life is a matter of personal opinion and religious beliefs, therefore they do not apply to everyone, and should be kept out of the discussion
  • the pro-life movement also neglects the many children in the foster care system and on the streets
  • pro-life is also there to punish women for having sex, once again excusing the partner -- often male -- from facing any consequences; it is a matter of discrimination
  • heterophobia does not exist
  • there's no such thing as "reverse-racism"; it's just racism, and almost never affects white people; when it does, the effects are minimal and harmless the majority of the time
  • gay people having a relationship does not affect you in any way, shape or form
  • not having sex in a relationship and/or having multiple partners needs to be normalized
  • parents who would rather have a dead child than a queer child have no business being parents
  • inaccessibility affects disabled people every day of their lives
  • disabled people do not need to be fixed, they need to be accepted
  • gatekeepers harm more queer kids than they help
