What the ME3 ending should have been

9 years and I’m still salty Miranda, Jack, Grunt and any Salarian or Batarian squad members did not make the cut for ME3
- There is literally no reason whatsoever Miranda could not join us. Our goals literally align. You could recruit her when we meet on the Citadel or after Horizon. She can help Shepard stop Cerberus and right her wrongs while he helps her stop her father and help Shepard stop the Reapers. I just think it was incredibly stupid to leave out Miranda.
- While I do love Jack's new direction, I still think she could've joined Shepard's team. You could either tell Jack to stay with her students or invite her up to join us. If Jack joins us, Jack will communicate with her students and they will be well cared for while Jack kicks some Reaper and Cerberus ass. I get the reasoning for leaving Jack out, but why is Jack the ONLY ME2 squad member who has a different look, but she does not rejoin Shepard?
- Grunt could join after the Rachni mission. The majority chose to save the Rachni, and Grunt's team dies. So I don't see why not. Grunt chooses to stay with Shepard. “Wrex may be my clan leader, but Shepard, you are my battlemaster”. Also isn't it weird and stupid that so much promise was put into Grunt being the key to curing the Genophage, but nothing was done with it?
- Salarian. We could've had Kirrahe, Padok Wiks, Tolan or Jondum Bau. We all loved Kirrahe, I know he's a war asset but damn wouldn't it be enjoyable to have him on board the Normandy? Especially to boost morale with his rousing speeches. Also god seeing Kirrahe and Mordin interact would be comedy gold! I loved Padok for the brief time he had. Would've been a great addition while Mordin is working on the cure for the Genophage. Would've been nice to see Padok and Mordin banter together, and just having a fellow STG would've been a nice addition to the team. I think he should have come on the Normandy with Mordin, working as a pair to formulate a cure. After all, he was Wrex’s second STG mole. If Mordin is alive and goes to The Shroud, Padok should have stayed a squad member for the rest of the game; if Mordin died in Suicide Mission, Padok should take his place and sacrificed himself for the cure. Tolan was against curing the genophage, but I think over time he could be swayed to seeing the ways the Salarians treated the Krogan is wrong. Jondum Bau could've been like the Zaeed where we hear stories of a fellow Spectre.
- Batarian. I still don't understand why there was never a Batarian squad member. There would be so much angst and conflict, especially if we are a Colonist Shepard and after Arrival. We would be coming to terms with the situation and overcoming our differences and the Batarian squadmember wanting to repent the sins of the Hegemony and hoping his actions could redeem his species. Maybe it could be Balak or a Batarian who is a Hegemony loyalist who wanted blood for Bahak system. Someone who holds a personal grudge against us and is only willing to join to make the Reapers pay in blood. But over time Shepard and said Batarian learns to overcome their differences and see each other as friend and works together to destroy the Reapers.

My soul Burns With a fire of darkness Quenched only in the pain Of loneliness I hold my breath waiting Until spots appear black as the past And fill my lungs up with lies of hope I mark myself Black and jagged To cover the scars That make me a monster A warning This is not a place of honor No esteemed dead are buried here
