Fixing The Texas Chainsaw Massacre sequels

Lets be honest. The franchise is a mess and it's never going to reach the heights of the original or even the remake. The 3D timeline is an abomination and 2022 is just awful. I love TCM 2, and 3 has some great bits. But god is 4 embarrassing. So let's try to fix them.

So I looked up Hooper and Henkel's original concept for TCM 2.

It was going to be named 'Beyond The Valley of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre' and originally involved an entire town full of cannibals, not just the Sawyer family. And the Hitchhiker survived and was supposedly tied to a tree by the family due to his injuries. And Sally was slated to return as well.

In my opinion they could've done this for the third and fourth movies.

Fixing Insomniac's Venom

I loved Insomniac's Spider-Man 2 and if I'm being honest it was all great until Venom became a mustache twirling villain.

Venom has a great appearance, the fight was good, but his motivations was bad. Wanting world domination and pulling Web of Shadows and just the personality of a brick.

So here is how I would've changed Harry as Venom

TLDR;Dive into Harry wanting the power and feeling like Peter is stealing everything from him, the suit, his fathers love, any chance of survival. Have Harry's motivation then to take everything from him convinced that was what Peter wanted to do to him.

Fixing Kai Leng

The problem with Kai Leng is Mac Walters desperately tried to convince us that Leng was Shepard's ultimate equal when he could barely hold his own against an aged Anderson and a Drell with terminal cancer and in the end he was a tryhard egdelord that would make Kylo Ren embarrassed.

The solution to this is make Leng deeply connected to Shepard's personal history. Making him be a ghost from Shepard's past with a personal connection would have made this character much better. His backstory could change with whatever your selections are for Shepard.

With the news of the new Texas Chainsaw Massacre and the success of the new Halloween movies. I am reminded of how much of a golden opportunity they all wasted with the garbage that was Texas Chainsaw 3D.

You had Gunnar Hansen and Marilyn Burns. You completely wasted them and didn’t even have Sally return to seek her revenge on Leatherface and you did not even keep Gunnar Hansen as Leatherface. Everything else about the movie was an abomination.

But here is how I would fix the movie

  • It is not called Texas Chainsaw 3D. It could be called Texas Chainsaw:Sally’s Revenge
  • It opens up with flashbacks of how the original movie ended. The cops come to arrest the family. Drayton berates and abuses Leatherface and tells “Bubba, you really fucked up. All you had to do was kill her quickly, but no you got your brother killed and now it’s over” Something like that. Drayton and Grandpa are arrested, while Leatherface escapes. There is absolutely no extra family members in the house because there were no extra fucking family members in the original fucking movie, you fucking idiots
  • Then we see Sally Hardesty admitted into a Mental Health facility. 40 years later and Sally leaves the facility
  • Maybe to give her closure, Sally witnesses the executions of Drayton and Grandpa, the only surviving members of the Sawyer family.(I REPEAT, THE ONLY MEMBERS)
  • But Sally still feels unsafe. Because they never caught Leatherface. Sally believes he's just waiting to come and get her or at the very least, he’s still killing people in Texas. So Sally prepares herself with her Uncle Lefty(yes I realize Dennis died 3 years prior, but maybe we could have R Lee Ermey play Lefty in this continuity)
  • There are numerous reports of people, including teenagers going missing in Texas. Every now and then Leatherface will come out of hiding and go to work, because the meat is not gonna make itself.
  • Leatherface would go back to his house sometime after the raid and stay hidden and whenever anyone dares to come into the house. It begins again and no one would escape. 
  • A group of teenagers would go to the old Sawyer house to check out and see if the rumors of sightings of an old man without a face is true. One by one they all disappear without a trace. Until one gets away(played by Alexandra Daddario) and that one who gets away runs into Sally and Lefty
  • Leatherface's final victim would be Lefty and Sally would shoot off Leatherface's arm, grab the Chainsaw and saw off his head

TROS Fix it post:Finnrey, Jedi/Prince Finn, Rey Skywalker and villain Kylo edition

So I wanted to make a fix it post that’s dedicated to uplifting Rey and Finn as they rise as Jedi, Kylo Ren’s tyranny as the Supreme Leader, discovering Finn’s family, Stormtrooper Rebellion and ending with Finnrey’s happy ending. I think it’s only fair since I’ve done Reylo, FInnpoe and Finnrose centric fix it posts!

To clarify I ship FInnrey, Reylo, FInnpoe and Finnrose. I am in the belief that ship what you want as long as it’s not hurting anyone
