Changes I’d want If Mass Effect Trilogy got remade

If The Mass Effect Trilogy ever gets remastered. I would change nothing about the first two games other than the obvious graphics update, visible sex scenes(no clothes for ME2) Miranda, Tali and Jack romancable for Femshep and DLC included. But for Mass Effect 3. I’d want all the DLC content including the Collector’s Edition and Pre-Order Bonuses.Things I would want changed.

No James. James adds nothing to the game or the series. He was only put in the game to appeal to the COD fanbase. He has no character and no personality. We have established characters like Grunt, Jack, Miranda, Zaeed,or Kasumi, but instead we get James, someone no one cares about as a character. We have been waiting years to see Ashley/Kaidan again and they are forced to be knocked out for a good portion of the game. Ashley/Kaidan are important to the story and to Shepard. If anything, James should have been the Jenkins/Wilson of the game and died on Mars.
The full squad for ME3 should be Ashley/Kaidan, Liara, Garrus, Tali, Grunt, Javik, Thane, Padok Wiks, EDI, Jack and Miranda.
Remove the Multiplayer aspect and give us a War Readiness rating of 100%. It’s teadious and tiring to get readiness to 100% in Multiplayer, especially when some of us only play for the campaign
We would recruit Grunt when Wrex comes aboard and Wrex brings Grunt. Grunt chooses to stay with Shepard. “Wrex may be my clan leader, but Shepard, you are my battlemaster”. When we first meet Miranda on the Citadel, that is when she decides to go with Shepard. She can help Shepard stop Cerberus and right her wrongs while he helps her stop her father and help Shepard stop the Reapers. As for Jack, I feel like they gave Jack a good direction, but we are given a choice have Jack stay with her students or invite Jack to join us. Jack’s students would be well taken care of while Jack joins us to stop Cerberus and The Reapers. Thane would recruitable when we approach him in the hospital. Thane assures us he is healthy enough to go on one last suicide mission. But prior to Priority Tuchanka, Thane goes to the CItadel to visit Kolyat and he is hidden when the Cerberus attack happens. When Kai Leng makes his attack. Thane easily kills Kai Leng. Thane resumes his journey with Shepard, thus Thane is given a proper send off as befitting his character instead of being killed off because EA forgot about Thane.
Dedicated romance scenes for Garrus, Tali, Thane, Jack and Miranda instead of the cut to black bullshit. It’s completely unfair that Shiara, Shepley and Shenko got dedicated romance scenes in the end but Shakarian, Shiros, Shiranda and Shepard/Jack got screwed over.
Have it be revealed that The Salarian Dalatrass was indoctrinated. There is no way Udina or Cerberus knew about the transfer on Sur'Kesh. The only way Cerberus could know is if the Dalatrass told them. On Priority Tuchanka we see her treachery revealed and as she tries to stop Mordin we get the renegade/paragon interrupt to either kill her or jam her gun. Regardless if we sabotaged or cured. The Salarians gives us both their fleets in the end.
Replace Diana Allers with Emily Wong or Khalisah Bint Sinan al-Jilani. Diana Allers served no purpose and she was just annoying. If we have to have a reporter on the Normandy, let it be with someone we actually know and have a connection with. With Emily it would be cute and could possibly lead to a romance. With Khalisah, it would be fierce and would send a strong message to the galaxy. They only threw Allers in because they wanted Jessica Chobot in the game. They had enough time and money to model Diana Allers, but not give Tali a face?
We see Tali’s face on Rannoch. No bullshit photoshop. We get to see her face on Rannoch. If we romance her or not we get to see Tali’s face and Liz Sroka actually gets to face model for Tali. And after Rannoch, Tali can be on the Normandy with no need to wear the mask.
Thane would kill Kai Leng on the Citadel. Even a sick and weakened Thane could kill Kai Leng. Kai Leng could not even kill an aged Anderson and Kahlee Sanders in the novels and they expect me to believe that Thane, one of the most skilled and efficient Drell Assassins would be so easily killed by Kai Leng? No, fuck no. Leng is overconfident believing he’ll kill the Salarian Counciler and Shepard all at once and then Thane comes out of hiding and blows Kai Leng’s head off. Thane killing Leng would’ve been better. The only reason why Thane died is because EA forgot about Thane. Thane should be our squad member and Thane should’ve killed Kai Leng.
In the battle for Earth, we see every war asset in cutscenes and it shows how effective they are in the end.
Harbinger is focused on as the big bad, while The Illusive Man is his indoctrinated puppet, much like Saren was Sovereign’s puppet. Every so often when we are fighting Cerberus or Reaper forces, Harbinger ASSUMES DIRECT CONTROL. Mocking Shepard, mocking his allies. In every major mission. Harbingner is there. On Rannoch instead of the Destroyer Reaper, the Destroyer sends the hologram of Harbinger. And then we get the big Shepard and Harbinger confrontation. Telling Shepard that Tuchanka and Rannoch has changed nothing. Our species has the attention of those infinitely your greater. That which you know as Reapers are your salvation through destruction. You will surrender your potential against the growing void. and then Shepard orders the orbital strike to destroy the Destroyer Reaper.
Keep the planned Illusive Man boss fight in. After the exchange of dialogue Shepard, Anderson and TIM have, TIM realizes he has been destroying humanity and that everything he has been doing the whole game and he wants to fight it but Harbinger is too strong, so he shoots himself. and that’s when Harbinger “ASSUMING DIRECT CONTROL and that is when we get the Reaper’d Illusive Man under Harbinger’s control.

No starchild. It’s Harbinger. Harbinger taunts and haunts Shepard throughout the game He uses the memory of that child to haunt Shepard as a symbol of humanity lost. After Shepard activates the Crucible. Harbinger appears. He explains to why and how The Reapers were made. the AI Leviathan created to solve the equation is Harbinger all along, Harbinger manipulated The Leviathan into giving it Reaper form and birth at first it did what it commanded and what they asked of it was to look at the dark energy building up which back then was only an anomaly that Leviathan was concerned with but then the first harvest began and Harbinger and The Reapers were born. As for why the cycles of harvest happen, the explanation is the original ending of Dark energy. The Reapers as a whole were ‘nations’ of people who had fused together in the most horrific way possible to help find a way to stop the spread of the Dark Energy. The real reason for the Human Reaper was supposed to be the Reapers saving throw because they had run out of time. Humanity in Mass Effect is supposedly unique because of its genetic diversity and represented the universe’s best chance at stopping Dark Energy’s spread. We have a choice either Sacrifice humanity, allowing them to be horrifically processed in hopes that the end result will justify the means or use The Crucible to destroy The Reapers and find a way to stop the dark energy from spreading and it shows it is hopeful with a united galaxy. Also if you choose Destroy, we see Shepard using the Citadel tower control to activate The Citadel. And once we choose destroy, Shepard’s squad comes to evacuate him off The Citadel and it depends on who Shepard’s love interest and whoever you are with the longest for your squad and they rescue Shepard. Then after that we watch as The Reapers are destroyed on Earth, Thessia, Tuchanka and Palaven, we see an interactive epilogue of how our choices effects the Galaxy and how a united galaxy is capable of anything, even to stop the dark energy’s spread.
