Rose Tico:First Order Spy concept
Earlier today I saw a concept for Rose as a First Order spy. And that got me thinking. What if the very reason as to why Holdo refused to let Poe in on the loop is because there truly was a spy in The Resistance?
Here’s how I would do it.
First of all. Rose Tico was Paige’s sister. The real Rose Tico died prior to the battle of Starkiller Base and was replaced by the changeling(like Zam Wessell) known as Rosita Thorn. Her mission? Infiltrate The Resistance, place the hyperspace tracker on board The Raddus and bring the traitorous FN-2187 to either be reconditioned or executed for treachery.
Upon arriving on The Supremacy, Rose signaled Hux and Phasma, which causes their capture. As they get captured. While Finn and DJ are forced on their knees, Rosita shows her true colors as she shoots DJ and salutes to Hux. “Just as planned, my general”
Her mission was a success. Finn only managed to escape due to the Holdo maneuver.
She becomes the right hand and lover of General Hux
Rosita would keep the appearance of Rose Tico because she’s grown “accustomed” to Rose’s face. Only looking more regal, wearing her hair down and wearing First Order uniforms.
Next Hux and Rosita plan to kill Pryde and after Kylo Ren and Rey kill The Emperor. Hux and Rosita will kill the traitorous Kylo Ren, Rey and then FN-2187, thus securing their and The First Order’s dominance over the galaxy. Long live the Supreme Leader and his Empress!
Instead of wasting Hux here’s what they could’ve done.
- No Pryde. Instead of working to make Hux a conniving backstabbing bitch that we all know and love, they created a whole new character that is identical in every way except he's older and doesn't emote. Love RIchard E Grant, he’s talented, but good god is he just wasted.
- Give Pryde’s role to Hux. Hux should have been Pryde’s role in the movie. Someone who is willing to carry out Palpatine’s orders and willing to stab Kylo Ren in the back to take command. Wields the fleets and meets Pryde’s end. I feel that Pryde's death is what Hux's death should have been.
- Palpatine sees the fire of Tarkin within Hux and gives orders to remove Ren and become Supreme Leader. Hux pulls a coup. The Entire First and Final Orders are behind Hux and he succeeds. “Your services are no longer required Ren.” Ben is overpowered and shot down and thus forcing Ben to seek help with The Resistance. Hux is unleashing the full might of The First Order upon the galaxy. It ends with Finn’s Stormtrooper Rebellion and Finn, Jannah and Rose taking Hux alive.
- Hux is the villain. Hux pulls a coup and Palpatine does not return. Shows Snoke’s murder for all to see. Shows it to the Supreme Council and broadcasts it to every Stormtrooper and uses it to turn the Knights Of Ren and The First Order against Kylo Ren. Kylo is ousted and Hux reigns supreme. Hux’s goal is the complete extinction of force sensitives. Hux has an affinity for technological terror. So instead of a world killing superweapon, instead Hux has a mass production of technology that can suppress the force in force sensitives. Hux is literally using The First Order to abduct and slaughter everyone who is force sensitive. From child to the elderly. Everyone who could feel the force is fair game to Hux. And all the while, Rey, Finn, Ben and Leia ALL FEEL this. The Force is dying. Star Wars Episode IX:The Death Of The Force. The fall of Hux would not just be because of Rey and Ben or the new Jedi would rise. It would be the result of Finn, Rose, Jannah and Poe inspiring the galaxy to rise up! The people take back their power. Fighting Fascism and It’s the result of ordinary people rising up and taking their democracy and freedom back. It’s poetic that a saga that began with a dictator taking away democracy and turning it into an Empire, ends with the people rising up! Hux with his Empire and plans in ruins would result in Hux being the coward he is, taking his blaster to the head and we see an off screen suicide. Dark, but that’s where it would lead to.
- This fanfic’s take on Hux
- Hux pulls a strategic retreat. Hux sees the writing on the wall, calls The First Order’s fleets to retreat and leaves The Final Order to die on Exegol. Hux takes command as The Supreme Leader. While everyone believes the war is over, it’s not. Hux is still around and he fully intends to way waste to the galaxy and if The First Order CANNOT reign supreme under his leadership, then the galaxy will burn. This would’ve been the perfect set up for Sequel Trilogy era EU for Post-TROS. Where Rey, Finn, Poe and a returning/ Redeemed Ben Solo would stand against Hux’s reign of terror. The perfect end for Hux would be this. Hux is at Ben’s mercy. Hux would then demand his own execution. "Go on Solo, we both know you want to kill me. and take back control of The First Order. Take control and kill the Jedi.” This is the ultimate tool for Ben’s redemption. Does he want power or does he want Rey? He would then be put in a Anakin/Dooku situation from ROTS, he would then do what his grandfather could not do. Show mercy to his enemy. And declare. “I am a Jedi, like my mother and grandfather before me.” Hux is then taken to be tried and imprisoned for war crimes against the Galaxy.
Instead we got “I’m the spy” yes, because the man responsible for the Hosnian destruction, responsible for Rose’s homeworld’s destruction, someone who was indoctrinated since a child by Imperial fascism and someone who believes in The First Order....would suddenly be a spy. Utterly ridiculous. Hux was done dirty. Hux should have been the final villain or he should have been the perfect tool to serve Palpatine and the Final Order. He had everything to opposite Kylo: he was clever, he had the military at his side, he hated the Force that Kylo represented, he didn't respect Kylo and wanted his power. Why wasn't he the bad guy?!
Hux was the complete opposite of Palpatine and that’s what made him so good. Instead of a cunning manipulator behind the scenes like Palpatine was in the PT and OT, he's a very small man whose ideology makes him far more scary than he has any right to be. Where Ben is redeemable, Hux is Fascism incarnate. He believes in it and he will kill and die for his beliefs. Hux not being the final villain was dumb.
How I would make Hux the villain of Episode IX
Instead of pointlessly killing him off and making a new Hux with Pryde, just put the effort into making him an effective villain. Hux had an affinity for technology and contempt for force wielders and force sensitives in general. So I had a thought. What if Hux had technology made to suppress the force so that way a coup against Kylo Ren could be feasible and hell, just give Hux and his soldiers Cortosis Weave armor that way we can actually make Stormtroopers resistant to Lightsabers and actually make them threatening. I would also bring back Phasma as Hux’s right hand.
My pitch for General Hux in Battlefront II
If Poe is ever brought into Battlefront II in 2020, I think it should only be right to bring in General Hux. Bringing in Hux with Poe is natural. He didn't do much in the movies, but neither did Phasma, Boba Fett or Bossk, so I don't understand why Hux is not in the game.
As for Hux's weapon. Hux's Custom SE-44C blaster pistol
Abilities Supreme Command: Hux boosts the health and attack of all allies within 12 meters. His own health goes up by 150 along with the health of his allies.
Orbital Strike. Works like Nien Numb’s ability in Battlefront 1. When indoors, it changes to a Thermal Imploder
General's Blast: Hux fires a single Ion Shot that can stun Vehicles and Troopers. Troopers/heroes will be stunned for 2.5 seconds, Vehicles will be stunned for 4 seconds.

I have this headcanon that ever since Kylo has became Supreme Leader, Hux has been trying to assassinate him ever since. #justkyluxthings Kylo of course killed the assassins and bounty hunters. But something has happened that put Hux back in line. in the Allegiance comic, it is clear that Hux is afraid and subservient to Kylo Ren.
Now let’s take a card from history. Stalin kept sending assassins to Yugoslavian president Tito Broz, they all failed and Broz sent a letter to Stalin. "If you don't stop sending killers, I will send one to Moscow. And I won't have to send a second."
Lets say Hux plotted an officer and Stormtrooper coup on Kylo and it failed miserably and these were Hux’s best men. Kylo killed them all one by one and Hux is in shock and horror.
Kylo will confront him. “Hux, if you don’t stop sending assassins and plotting coups, I will send the Knights Of Ren to The Finalizer and I won’t have to send them a second time.”
My Problems with the sequel trilogy
I do love The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi. But I’d be lying if I said I didn’t have any problems with it.
That awkward moment when Jar Jar Binks is a better general than Hux
Cinnamon Roll Meme Sequel Trilogy edition
General Hux’s Incompetence in The Last Jedi and why I can’t take him seriously as a villain for Episode IX
General Hux, the man who caused the destruction of the Hosnian system and is shown to be a younger angrier version of Tarkin in TFA, is shown to be an incompetent bumbling fool and Captain Canady is the only intelligent officer in The First Order. He does not deploy the Tie Fighters, order the fleet to move in when The Resistance are evacuating D'Qar and vulnerable, instead orders the Dreadnought to move in, and instead of ordering the Dreadnought with it’s devastating canon to fire on the cruiser thus giving the transports nowhere to go, he orders an orbital bombardment to an almost empty planet. But does not fire because he sees Poe’s X-Wing When Poe arrives in his X-Wing, the only X-Wing in view. Hux does not order deploying the Tie Fighters or even ordering the Dreadnought to fire on Poe. They do absolutely NOTHING. How is Hux a general again? Did he just want to hear himself talk? The turrets are being destroyed by Poe and Hux tells Captain Canady to fire the Dreadnought, Canady responds it’s too small and too close of range to fire their turbolasers and orders the Tie Fighters to be scrambled which should have been done 5 minutes ago. Canady knows Poe is not aiming to penetrate their armor, he knows Poe is clearing out their surface cannons. Here we have it. The only intelligent officer in The First Order, everyone else including Hux are incompetent. How exactly is Hux a general again? Moving on. Hux is slapped around with the force by Snoke, okay understandable, it’s for failure. Vader did the same. But god it is done in almost every scene by Snoke and Kylo. When the Silencer pretty much destroyed all the X-Wing fighters, and The Resistance command is jettisoned in space, Hux just orders Kylo back. They have the opportunity to end The Resistance, just calls him back, a scene later Hux complains he let them go. Sure they can still track them, but the fact that they let them goes shows that Hux is a fool. The only time Hux is allowed to be villainous in the movie is when he is prepared to take out his blaster and kill Ben. Everything else he is either an idiot or someone’s toy to be slapped around. And you expect me and the general audience to believe Hux is going to be the villain in Episode IX?
The Force Awakens + Clone-Fucking Discourse
Friendly reminder that Hux has zero development in the movie and if you love him more than the characters with actual personalities (that is, Finn, Poe, and Rey, for example), I do 100% believe that you love him because he’s a white dude.
Can people enjoy anything on this site without having to say what a good person they are for liking the ‘right’ characters in some form of media and making a judgement on the moral character of another person based on them liking the wrong one.
Especially when they themselves are white.
I have no dog in the race for Star Wars at all, but it’s funny how none of the keyboard warriors seem too fussed about idolising the original white-as-milk trio of Luke/Leia/Han, or shipping the fuck out of Ewan McGregor / Liam Neeson etc. If those older films were a fail for their lack of diversity, why are they & their non-diverse characters still getting a free fandom pass at all?
1. None of the characters you listed are purposefully written as Nazi parallels.
2. There was no diversity in the OT or PT for the fandom to ignore, as there were only a handful of poc and none of them were the leads of the films.
3. Non of these characters have 5 minutes of screentime that literally JUST show them being facists …
