Felicity and Mia’s heartbreaking (and heartwarming) meeting in the series finale
This looks like a job for Supergirl! Sorry! I meant Supergirl and Flash. This is totally a job for the both of you. That is what I meant. Supergirl… and… Flash.

“I don’t accept that. You shouldn’t either. You can’t just accept things, Oliver. If I had accepted my life, I would be a cocktail waitress in Vegas like my mother, and I never would have gone to college, and I never would have moved a thousand miles away to work at Queen Consolidated, and I never would have believed some crazy guy in a hood when he told me I could be more than just some IT girl.”

"I wanted to go with oracle but it was already taken"
Aka Marc Guggenheim showing his bitterness over WB not letting him “be inspired by” this Batman storyline like the other Batman storylines he so shamelessly incorporates.
It´s not even the fact, that Felicity is in a wheelchair. I could handle Felicity being in a wheelchair, just fine. It´s the fact that to the Arrow writers, disabled characters are interchangeable. It´s the fact, you think you can just take the bare bones of Barbara Gordon´s amazing story, and transplant it onto a character, who is not Barbara Gordon!!! Because all disabled characters are the same. Because the only characteristic, disabled characters have is their disability clearly.
It´s the fact, that you think, just because you have a hacker character, that she is the same as Barbara. It´s the fact, that you ignored all the emotional depth behind Barbara´s transition from Batgirl to Oracle, and her dealing with her assault, trauma and depression, for a cheap little story about how hard it is for Oliver to deal with Felicity´s spinal injury. Because why should disabled people´s stories actually be about them? It´s much more important how the boyfriend feels about it. Then once the boyfriend has angsted, we can maybe dedicate one episode to Felicity dealing with her trauma, even though it´ll still be a side plot, because “more important things to do.”
It´s the fact that you think, it´s not copying or blatantly ripping off the Batman comics, as long as you make a cute little joke about it. It´s the fact that at the end of the day, you don´t want to write a Green Arrow show. It´s never what you wanted. You want to write a Batman show, but WB wouldn´t let you.
While The Killing Joke in itself is an incredibly gross and wile story, there were writers who came after, who had Barbara deal with her trauma in a way, that was respectful to her character, and it in the end helped turn her into what is widely known as the best disability representation in comics. And so far, you haven´t shown any interest in letting this storyline actually be good representation for disabled people.
It´s that when a bunch of fans whine at you about something on twitter, you just do it, because who cares about professionalism right? Your audience clearly knows your characters better than you, the people who are paid cash money to write about them, do. You should just let your audience dictate, what you write, because nothing matters other than ratings.
It´s the fact you essentially did the tv-show equivilent of what the editor told the writer of The Killing Joke: “Yeah okay, cripple the bitch.” Not caring about Felicity, not caring about Barbara, not caring about either of their fanbases, and certainly not caring about any disabled people in your audience!!
So…I’m reading people’s reactions to the latest Arrow ep, and I’m not surprised they went there. There was no reason or need to bring up the Oracle name, but they had Oliver mention it as a first choice code name for Fefe, like a throwaway line to encapsulate the Oracle/Felicity speculation that’s been dogging the show for awhile now. And we’re supposed to believe Guggentroll and Co. ain’t sore about not being able to rip off the Oracle name and attach it to a wannabe Barbara Gordon knockoff?
OVERWATCH SOUNDS LIKE WATCHTOWER. AND THEY HAVE THE AUDACITY TO DISS EVERYONE WITH THAT ORACLE LINE. WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH ARROW’S WRITERS. HOW DO THEY LACK SO MUCH ORIGINALITY?
First Felicity makes horrible comments about Moira at Moira’s funeral when she had died because she sacrificed herself for her children.
Then Felicity tries to convince Oliver to let Thea die because she doesn’t agree with him joining Ra’s to save his little sister.
Now Felicity makes sarcastic comments about the shady stuff Waller has done while people are trying to have a toast for her and her sacrifice.
AKA why the fuck is anyone a fan of Felicity.
