Earlier this week I made a poll on what Boba Fett's fate could've been had he not fell in the Sarlacc Pit and in this au I will explore the scenario where Boba Fett takes over the criminal underworld and becomes the king of his own Empire.
Things I think could’ve improved The Book Of Boba Fett
Contain all the Boba and Tusken and Fennec flashbacks to episode 1 and end episode 1 with Boba killing Bib Fortuna
Add in flashbacks of Jango’s time as a with the True Mandalorians
Boba uses his own equipment to escape and even kill the Sarlacc
Cut the flashback of Boba going back to the Sarlacc, Boba saw Jawas stealing the armor. He isn’t dumb.
Reveal Boba’s motivation as to why he wants to rule Tatooine and a crime syndicate. He has desires for a tribe and also to bring justice and stability to the Outer Rim under his leadership and protection, while also making a profit in the criminal underworld. He is inspired by his father and the Supercommando Codex and wants to use that as the basis for his Gotra
Boba is a man of respect, but should you cross him he will hunt you down.
Fennec is his right hand, but it’s clear they are more partners than just “Fennec does all the work lol”
Replace The Pykes with The Hutt Twins as the main villains
Stop taking off Boba Fett’s helmet. Private scenes like scenes with Fennec, yes, but Boba should not be taking his mask off in front of an audience, business associates, etc, you get the point. The mask IS his face.
Stop letting Boba Fett being easily duped by his enemies. He knows how the game is played as well as Fennec does
Cut the Bacta tank scenes. Boba easily took down a platoon of Stormtroopers and an entire squadron of TIES and walked in and killed Bib Fortuna on the throne. I think he can do without it. But keeps the Bacta Tank should he or his allies need it.
Add in flashbacks of Boba’s time as a Bounty Hunter so we could see Daniel Logan play Boba Fett
We could see the following
-Boba and Bane’s past and the cut showdown between Fett and Bane, this showdown is the beginning of Boba’s reputation
-Boba hunting down and killing Mace Windu which grants Boba his feared reputation
-Show how Boba and Han gained a rivalry(this way Alden can return to play Han)
-Boba’s partnership with Black Krrsantan, Bossk and Dengar and why they are loyal to Fett, well at least Bossk and Dengar
-Fennec’s past with Aurra Sing and show that the Omega job slowly changed her
Cut the mods and instead Boba enlists the help of his old Bounty crew in Bossk and Dengar. Maybe include Drash and Skad as new Bounty Hunters on the rise that are taken under Boba and Fennec’s wing. It’s a complete contrast to how Bane mentored Boba and Sing mentored Fennec. Where Bane ultimately wanted Boba dead and Sing treated Fennec like a living weapon, Boba and Fennec treat Drash and Skad like equals and gave them a new chance at life than just die at the hands of their handlers
Fennec kills the Majordomo and for crossing them, and Boba easily tracks down The Mayor before he leaves. Boba shows him no mercy and launches a rocket at his ship
Keep Return Of The Mandalorian as a bonus episode, but cut the Grogu stuff completely. I feel like having Grogu return at all was a massive disservice to the ending to The Mandalorian season 2′s finale, save that shit for season 3.
Garsa Fwip and Max Rebo are the only survivors of the Sanctuary
Build up to Cad Bane. Show that every form of misfortune in Boba’s life was Bane’s doing.
-Bane sabotaged Boba’s jetpack which led to Boba being sucked into the Sarlacc
-Bane slaughtered the Tuskens
-Bane suggested the Hutt Twins as to how they can get rid of Fett
-Bane offered the heads of the Tatooine crime families to take care of Boba Fett, hence the betrayal
-Everything that’s happened was leading to Bane getting revenge on Fett. The Syndicate offered him enough credits to buy an entire system. He did this for free.
After killing Bane, Boba is the one who is able to calm his Rancor
After Fennec kills the crime lords of Tatooine, Fennec brings The Twins to be judged by Boba. In turn for the shit they’ve caused, Boba disintegrates them
Show a tease to The Syndicate’s leadership. After Boba kills Cad Bane and The Twins, Boba sends a message to The Syndicate, that Tatooine and the Outer Rim territory is under his protection and offers a warning. Stay out or die. And after this, we see Qi’Ra, Prince Xizor, and Rotta The Hutt, thus teasing a season 2
Boba’s inner circle
-Fennec Shand, Boba’s right hand
-Garsa Fwip is Boba’s public relations and what Bib was for Jabba, but better
-Drash and Skad are Boba and Fennec’s apprentices
-Bossk, Dengar and Black Krrsantan are Boba’s muscle
Cobb Vanth, the Marshall of Tatooine, and helping Boba keeping the peace and bringing law, justice and order to Tatooine
End it with Fennec telling Boba about Omega and we have a teaser about Boba finding his sister
How would you have done episode 5 and 6 to make it more Boba inclusive?
I simply would've had episode 5 be about Boba recruiting the old Bounty Hunter Crew. Which would explore flashbacks of Boba Fett's time as a Bounty Hunter. So ideally we'd get to see Bossk, IG-88 and Dengar as Boba's muscle. 4-Lom is dead and I can't see Zuckuss as a willing ally for Boba. I'd also feature flashbacks for Fennec that shows that Aura Sing picked Fennec off the streets, trained her and molded her into the perfect weapon and her last flashback would send Fennec off on her mission to capture Omega.
You could include Return Of The Mandalorian as a bonus episode. But for the love of god save the first half of what you intended for episode 6 for The Mandalorian, cause idk but Mandalorian centric stuff SHOULD BE SAVED FOR THE MANDALORIAN.
Now what I would do in The First half of episode 6 is actually have Din arrive first and save the Grogu/Luke stuff for The Mandalorian. But Boba and Din would talk and we'd explore the history of Jango and Jaster Mereel in flashbacks to flesh out Boba's Mandalorian heritage. Do you really wanna use CGI for a story that actually expands on Boba's character? Then use it to give us Jango. While you're at it, cast Manu Bennett as Jaster Mereel.
Din would tell Boba what The Armorer told him that he is no longer Mandlorian "You wield the Darksaber, you are Mand'alor. You tell them they are not Mandalorians. Take my advice my friend, don't let a cult to dictate how you live your life. Do you still follow the creed of Mandalore? "Yes" "Do you still fight with honor and for honor?" "Yes." "Then you are Mandalorian." also have Boba say something about Grogu "as long as the child is with Skywalker, he should be safe. But should he come back into your care, I cannot be in the same room as him. I have their face and voice, the little one would not take me well" Then the bit to send Din to meet with Cobb Vanth and then the stand off with Cobb and Cad Bane
Now if it were up to me episode 7 would show the flashbacks of the unfinished Bounty Hunter arc from The Clone Wars, while also showing that Cad Bane was the one who killed the Tuskens. And I would have Boba and Cad Bane have a final stand off that has Boba mortally wounding Cad Bane, but not taking his life. To show that he's truly changed his ways and goes from cold blooded killer to man of honor. And should Bane try one last attack, Fennec shoots him dead.
And ideally I would end the finale in a few ways
Fennec tells Boba about Omega and we see Boba and Fennec find Omega
Bane’s death would be a message sent to the Syndicate and we’d get an ending shot of Qi’Ra or Prince Xizor as the head of the Syndicate
Boba Fett hears whispers and rumors of Mace Windu’s survival, so a tease that shows Boba leaving to hunt down Mace Windu
Like they really did Boba and Fennec dirty for the last two episodes, so actually let them shine in their own show.
But if it were truly up to me we would've had a stand off between Boba and Bane and Fennec and Aurra Sing(if only Solo didn't fuck that shit up...YES I AM STILL MAD THAT SING WAS FRIDGED FOR BECKETT'S REPUTATION, THAT WAS FUCKING STUPID)
Plot twist. Boba Fett isn't a crime lord. Boba is gonna become a just and honorable leader dispensing justice on Tatooine and the Outer Rim.
Boba in a sense will be cleaning up Tatooine. Going to war with the Hutts and the other gangsters of Tatooine and in the galaxy and then leading with a sense of honor.
Why do I think this? Boba Fett’s armor new paint job.
on the left, boba's stripes on his helmet are in gold, which means vengeance in mandalorian armour paint meanings
on the right his stripes are now in red, which means to honour a parent
boba's ideals have changed from vengeance, working with the empire and being a bounty hunter to honouring his parent, fighting against the empire and making his way in the galaxy like his father before him.
Also? If Boba were to become a crime lord, Fennec would not have freed the slave girl or would have shot her.
This opens up the door for plenty of awesome things. Boba and Cobb Vanth partnership. Bounty Hunters Guild becoming Boba’s personal army, so we could see Bossk and Dengar. Boba personally ending slavery in the outer rim and Boba is in the perfect position to help Din and Bo Katan reclaim Mandalore by the time The Mandalorian season 3
If Boba Fett ever gets a show of his own, how do you think it should be like?
Have Daniel Logan play Boba for the first two seasons and have Temuera Morrison play Boba Fett in the third and final season. Each season would be an important part of Boba Fett’s life.
First season should be about Boba during his early bounty hunting days, getting his crew together and doing the Bounty Hunter arc from The Clone Wars. It is pretty obvious Season 7 is just gonna be about the Siege Of Mandalore. So I think it’s best to have season 1 be about Boba Fett’s rise as a bounty hunter, you could even throw in flashbacks with Jango and end the season with his duel with Cad Bane.
Second season should adapt Boba Fett’s rise in infamy as the best Bounty Hunter in the galaxy, you could even adapt 1313 for this particular story. We could also have an arc of Boba teaming up with Bossk, IG-88, Dengar, 4-LOM and Zuckuss during The Great Hunt. I’d go as far to say that we should include Han Solo for the season finale, that way we can bring back Alden to play Han and have it be revealed thatHan Solo and Boba Fett have a past. When Han dropped cargo at the sight of the Star Destroyer, perhaps he left Boba Fett for dead and that’s why Boba hates him, there’s something personal and Boba has a vendetta story for Han. Of course the Imperial forces didn’t survive and that’s why Vader says “NO disintegrations”
Third season is about Boba post ROTJ. Opens with Boba Fett escaping and disintegrating the Sarlacc. Once he escapes and heals up, Boba goes back to work and looks for bounties. After the fall of the Empire, we would see Boba Fett hunting Imperial War Criminals and hunting the Rebel’s morally grey agents(Cassian executing a fellow Rebel would be an example of morally grey Rebels and Saw’s insurgents) just so the New Republic can erase the Alliance’s less desirable actions in history. Boba Fett catches the notice of a Mandalorian. Sabine Wren. The rest of the season would be to haveBoba Fett rediscovering his roots as a Mandalorian and for it to be a buddy cop story with Boba Fett and Sabine Wren.
Before I continue, let me explain why Boba and Jango Fett can be Mandalorians and why it matters. In the comic Open Seasons it’s stated that Jango was adopted into the group the True Mandalorians. Their leader Jaster Mereel saved a child Jango from Tor Vizsla and Death Watch. The True Mandalorians were a group of Mandalorian supercommandos who rallied to the cause of Mand'alor Jaster Mereel. The True Mandalorians supported Mereel’s attempts to lead a reform of the Mandalorians’ more savage members, and followed the teachings of the Supercommando Codex that Mereel authored. The Codex outlined honorable behavior through a modernization of the ancient Canons of Honor and elaboration on the six Resol'nare, the basic tenets of the Mandalorian culture which the True Mandalorians heeded. Highly skilled and well organized soldiers, the True Mandalorians had been primarily assembled from the planet Mandalore’s full-time army, in addition to drawing numerous members from several of the Mandalorian homeworld’s most prominent clans. Despite being well organized, True Mandalorian rank and unit structure remained nebulous beyond their loyalty to the Mand'alor’s authority, as most Mandalorians of their era held little regard for official rank and preferred an informal command structure. Instead, the True Mandalorians divided their forces based upon the tactical necessity of a coming mission, choosing trusted and respected soldiers to serve as squad commanders for the duration of combat. The True Mandalorian army existed primarily as a fighting force to combat and destroy the threat of the Death Watch, for whom the organization’s members harbored a strong hatred. When not embroiled in conflict with their rogue Mandalorian foes, the True Mandalorians would sometimes offer their martial services to prospective parties as a mercenary company. Jaster Mereel saw an honest nobility in mercenary work, which had become a staple in the Mandalorian culture over the centuries. Among themselves, the True Mandalorians fostered a strong sense of camaraderie, respect, and care for each other’s well being, exemplifying the Mandalorian tradition of looking out for one’s comrades on and off the battlefield. While Death Watch led by Tor Vizsla favored barbarism and brigandage. Across the galaxy, the True Mandalorians battled the Death Watch in a series of conflicts that collectively came to be known as the Mandalorian Civil War. On Korda Six, Jaster Mereel was betrayed by his trusted ally Montross and was slain by Vizsla, but he was succeeded as Mand'alor by his surrogate son Jango Fett, who exiled Montross and continued to lead the True Mandalorians against Death Watch. The Battle of Galidraan, however, would prove to be the True Mandalorians’ undoing. Nearly eradicated by a Jedi strike force fooled by a Death Watch lie, Fett was the sole True Mandalorian to survive the events of Galidraan. The man who went on to wage a lone war on the Death Watch that saw the sect broken and Vizsla killed, before distancing himself from the Mandalorian people to become a famous bounty hunter. Though the True Mandalorians were destroyed at Galidraan, their code of honor and ethics survived, and served to inspire the core ideology of the later Mandalorian Protectors.
Continuing as how it can be rewritten into canon.Let’s say Jaster sought out Jango’s father, but found the son. Jango’s father could’ve been a retired Mandalorian who sought a simple life as a farmer.Jango and his father were descended from the legendary Mandalorian Cassius Fett. But Jaster treated Jango like he was his own son. There was a long and bloody civil war between The True Mandalorians and Death Watch. In the end Jango killed Tor Vizsla. Jango is the only survivor. Because of Vizsla’s actions that got the Jedi to slaughter the True Mandalorians, it became all too easy for what happens next. Once Satine Kryze became Dutchess, she did not see the difference between Death Watch and The True Mandalorians. Because Jango became a bounty hunter, he was labeled as nothing but a “common bounty hunter” Jango’s Mandalorian heritage was erased and Tor’s son Pre Vizsla got his revenge without striking a blow. He was Satine’s ally for a time, so Pre must have gotten into Satine’s head to destroy all trace of Clan Fett as revenge. In the end, Death Watch won. The True Mandalorians are dead and Clan Fett was erased from Mandalorian history and culture as history is written by the victors.
Sabine helps Boba expose that Satine was not the perfect ruler everyone believes her to be. So the final season would be about restoring Clan Fett and to make Boba Mandalorian and give his father posthumous Mandalorian honor.
