If Anakin won on Mustafar and became Emperor Vader
Let’s say Anakin achieved the higher ground, jumps behind Obi-Wan, stabs him and kicks his body down the lava. Obi-Wan Kenobi is dead. Lord Vader passed his final test and killed his master. Anakin would take Padme in her ship and would fly to Coruscant to meet with The Emperor. Palpatine would ready the medical capsule for Lord Vader’s children to be born. Anakin would tell Padme, in time she will see the evil of the Jedi and together they would bring peace to the galaxy.
Vader would raise Luke & Leia to become Sith Lords. Luke is known as Darth Zhoun(meaning son in dutch as Vader is father) and Leia is known as Darth Regis(Regis being a slightly altered version of latin term for "royal") He would want to use them to overthrow the Emperor, and the Emperor would try to influence them to turn against Vader and become his new apprentices. Ultimately, Vader wins over his children and they unite against Palpatine. Vader is victorious and becomes Emperor. All hail Emperor Vader!
Imperial AU
Imagine a dark au where where the heroes become Imperials.
Padme lives and schemes with her husband to take out Palpatine and take power for themselves. Padme becomes Empress Amidala and pledges to bring order and peace to a corrupt galaxy by any means necessary. Those who stay loyal to Palpatine and those who enforce slavery upon the galaxy will die a most painful death.
Darth Vader stands by his Empress’ side. Enforcing her rule but remembering who he was, he is not Palpatine’s slave, but Padme’s equal and love. Together they will bring peace and order to the galaxy. All those who stand with Palpatine or the Hutts, will face Vader’s might and the Empress’ will.
Luke and Leia. Luke and Leia were trained by their father Darth Vader since childhood, but shown love from their mother. Raised to become the new Sith. They are Vader’s apprentices. Luke is known throughout the Empire as Darth Zhoun and Leia is known as Darth Alia. Their official rank for the Empire is the Royal Inquisitors, holding power over the Grand Inquisitor. Together the twins will hunt the Jedi and bring order to the galaxy. Leia later finds love with a most loyal Imperial Pilot and for daring to take that love away, Leia unleashed the full power of the dark side on Tatooine and destroyed Jabba The Hutt leaving absolute no trace of the loathsome Hutt. Together with the Empress’ Hand Mara Jade, Luke laid waste to Palpatine’s loyalists, including assassinating Tarkin. FInally together Luke and Mara confront and kill Obi-Wan Kenobi and Leia tracks down and kills Yoda. The Jedi’s treachery finally ends.
Han Solo becomes the best Tie Pilot in the Imperial Navy. So skilled that he is known throughout the galaxy as the Black Ace. When he thought all was lost after being in debted to the Hutts, the Imperials offered him a better life and became the best pilot in the Galaxy. Keeping Han’s close relationships to Chewie, Lando and Leia The Royal Inquisitor. Han helps blast those loyal to Palpatine out of the sky and way waste to his Empress and Princess’ enemies.
Chewbacca became the Empire’s official Emissary and enforcer to Kashyyyk. Because of Padme’s diplomatic and egalitarian nature, Padme has been more smart about running her empire. Padme’s Empire Inducts alien races into their empire and continue their expansion by conquering territory while promoting their way of life over others. Chewie is The Empire’s official Emissary to Kashyyyk and works alongside Han on jobs to promote peace and to prevent the slavery of the Wookies.
Lando is the Grand Moff. After Tarkin has shown his loyalty to Palpatine, Lando has become the new Grand Moff. Bringing a quick and swift end to the unrest in the galaxy, with the help of Lando, the Empire has brought an end to Palpatine’s loyalists.
Together our heroes brings peace and order to the galaxy and makes the Empire better under Padme’s control.
Star Wars Battlefront IV
Free Radical had some interesting ideas for the follow-up to Battlefront 3. Free Radical's Star Wars: Battlefront 3 was reportedly close to completion when the plug was pulled in 2008: Close enough that quite a bit of gameplay footage has surfaced over the years, and also for design work on Battlefront 4 to have begun. Here are some of the designs for Battlefront IV. The ultimate what if. Where the bad guys turn good and the good guys turn bad.
Dark Obi-Wan
Emperor Vader
Vader with no suit
Redeemed Anakin
Dark Luke
Jedi Leia
Dark Leia
Dark Chewbacca
Dark Windu
Jedi Dooku
Jedi Maul
Jedi Ventress
Non-Cyborg Grievous
Dark Skywalker AU
I have come up with a Dark Skywalker au and Darth names for if Padme, Luke, Leia, Kylo(were he to truly become Sith) and Rey have fallen to the dark side with Anakin.
For Padme. Simply this. Padme has inherited the mantle of Darth Traya. She found out Palpatine is indeed the Sith Lord and was behind Naboo and the Clone Wars. She feels betrayed and chooses the dark side to seek revenge. The nature of betrayal causes her to betray the Jedi(they never see it coming and when it does come it hurts harder than Order 66, Sith!Padme is the Jedi’s worst nightmare) and to seduce the chosen one in love and to the dark side and uses Darth Vader to destroy Darth Sidious so they can make the galaxy how they want it to be. "There must always be a Darth Traya, one that holds the knowledge of betrayal. Who has been betrayed in their heart, and will betray in turn." And Padme would become Empress Amidala with Darth Vader by her side.
For Luke. Darth Zhoun. “Zoon” means “Son” in Dutch, just as “Vater” means “Father” in Dutch, with “Darth Vader” translating to “Dark Father,” thus “Darth Zhoun” would mean “Dark Son,” a fitting title for a Dark Luke. For story purposes, Luke lets the anger of Ben and Yoda’s lies get to him and after he constructs his new lightsaber, he seeks his father out. Vader begins his training. And Luke is darker in meeting with Jabba The Hut. Luke is under orders to kill Jabba to test his powers out. Luke fully unleashes his raw powers upon Jabba’s palace. “I did warn you didn’t I? Not to underestimate my powers? You should have bargained, Jabba” he says before decapitating Jabba. Darth Zhoun returns to his father ready to face the Emperor and rule the galaxy as father and son. Together they fulfill their destiny, destroy the Emperor and rule the Galaxy as father and son. Anyone Imperial who dares defy Vader’s rule as Emperor is instantly killed by Darth Zhoun. Leia becomes a Jedi to stop her dark father and bring her brother back or do what she must.
As for Leia. I think. Darth Alia (feminine form of another in Latin) Leia’s anger always proved to be strong. Her hatred for Vader and the Empire is present. Lets say Vader sensed the force within Leia on Bespin and ordered Leia to be taken to the Executor immediately. Lando and Chewie are powerless to save her. Han is being taken to Jabba and Leia is being taken to the Empire. Their only hope is Luke. Luke fails. And Leia is at Vader’s mercy. But Vader senses something familiar, he finds out Leia is his daughter. He trains his daughter and brings her raw anger out. Her anger of the destruction of Alderaan, her anger of Vader and the Empire and her anger of losing Han. Leia proves to be powerful. “Together we will rule the galaxy, as father and daughter. We will turn the empire into a force for good.” And Leia unleashes her anger and fury upon Jabba’s palace and frees Han Solo. Han is horrified at what Leia has become and runs to the Rebellion. “The Smuggler will bring your brother to us” Together Vader and Leia meet with the Emperor. “Lord Vader, this is unexpected, but a surprise to be sure.” And as both Vader and Alia draw their Lightsabers, Palpatine realizes what’s happening and unleashes a storm of force lightning. Together they destroy the Emperor. What they do next is bring Luke into the fold. Leia convinces Luke to join their father to bring order to the galaxy and to make the Empire a force for good. Luke joins his sister and their father. Emperor Vader with his children Darth Zhoun and Darth Alia. Han would join them and become Leia’s admiral. Han was hesitant at first, but Leia has seduced Han. The Imperial Royal Family reigns over the Galaxy and peace, justice and order has been restored to the galaxy.
As for Kylo Ren. Darth Ira. Ira is latin for rage. Or since Kylo lives in the shadow of Vader he could be Darth Noctus. Another name for rage that would suit Kylo would be Darth Vicion, as his vicious nature. He fully embraced the dark side in TLJ. Remember in ROTJ what the Emperor said? “Strike me down with all of your hatred, and your journey towards the dark side will be complete.” Luke hesitated, Kylo did not. When faced with the opportunity to kill Snoke, he took it. He was faced with the opportunity for redemption and returning to his family, he chose power and the throne. So let’s say Kylo chooses to abandon his old title. “Kylo Ren is dead, a foolish child trying to be Darth Vader, from his ashes something new arises, Darth Ira, Supreme Leader of the First Order and Dark Lord of the Sith” Kylo would then offer Rey to join him or die with the Resistance. Rather than the pointless force grab in the throne room, a real fight between Kylo and Rey. Kylo wins and cuts Rey’s hand off and leaves her to die on the Supremacy.(she escapes of course) And thus begins Darth Ira’s rise as the Sith Lord of the galaxy.
And finally Rey. Darth Solitudis” Solitudis, after the loneliness she endured all her life, a despair she will delight in making her enemies feel. For story purposes, lets say the throne room scene happens differently. Snoke knows who Rey truly is. Snoke will reveal that Rey was an experiment by Palpatine on his lab on Jakku. The people who she thought were her parents were just random junkers who sold her for a ship. Snoke manipulates Rey into joining him. “The belonging you always sought all your life, was by my side. Strike Kylo Ren, as you should have on Starkiller Base and take your place as my apprentice.” We have a fight that feels real and a fight we care about because we know these characters and not faceless guards who do not just die. But as we believe it’s going to go down as it was in ROTJ, Rey kills Kylo Ren and becomes Snoke’s new apprentice. “You have done well, my apprentice, heir to Palpatine, daughter of darkness. Hence forth, you shall be known as Darth Solitudis” Rey will make the Galaxy feel the loneliness and despair she felt all her life. Only Finn can bring her back to the light or stop her if he must.
If you will not turn to the Dark Side… then perhaps she will…
Some Sith!Leia edits, because I keep thinking about @siths-sirenia‘s amazing Sith Skywalker sibs drawing and @starwarstyle has amazing selection in Sith fashion. All hail our Sith Princess of Darkness.
AESTHETIC MEME: [7/7] AUs: Sith!Luke & Sith!Leia AU
Star Wars AU: Evil Skywalkers
After taking control of the Galactic Senate, Padmé Amidala declares herself Empress, enforcing her oppressive regime with the aid of two former Jedi, Emperor Anakin Skywalker and General Obi-Wan Kenobi, and a massive clone army.
Years later, Padmé and Anakin’s two grown children, Luke and Leia, work to expand the Empire’s reach, recruiting a smuggler by the name of Han Solo. They oversee the construction of the massive, planet-destroying weapon, the Death Star, which will solidify their family’s control over the entire galaxy.

moodboard → sith leia organa
@the Star Wars fandom: I’d like to throw my two cents in on the whole “Leia was never even tempted by the Dark Side” trend that is seemingly going on right now. Firstly, yes, I understand the joke–gosh darn those whiny Skywalker boys, the girls are so tough and strong (and they are, they absolutely are, don’t get me wrong). But…all the same, guys, I just can’t see it that way. This girl wasn’t just tempted by the Dark Side, she flirted with it on like a daily basis for probably years (both before and after she knew what it was). I mean:
Leia Organa burns with anger. She was horribly, incalculably hurt, more than once, and one of the ways she coped with that was by being angry. (In fact, Carrie herself has described Leia as such, and as having played Leia as such–as a very wounded and broken girl who is incredibly, incredibly angry.) And as we know, according to the Jedi:
“Fear leads to anger Anger leads to hate Hate leads to suffering”
But that doesn’t make Leia any the weaker for it. In fact, I would even say that it goes to show just how strong she was. Because yes she was hurt. (She was hurt so, so badly, so many times.) She had every right to be angry, and hurting–and she did. She was angry. She did hurt. And it would have been so, so easy for her to give into the temptation of the Dark Side through that. Because of that. Because there are so very, very many kinds of temptation–and honestly, with Leia’s anger being such an integral part of her and part of her main coping mechanism, I personally can’t see Leia not being tempted by the Dark Side for years–since before she even knew it was truly a Thing, let alone that it had a name. Because oh, how easy it would have been for her anger to consume her–for her rage and her hatred to supplant all else, until she was nothing but a driving force of nature, a wildfire bound in human flesh that burned all in her path.
But you know what? She didn’t fall. Despite everything, Leia Organa did not fall. And that, to me, shows an incredible strength–one that supercedes even a claim that she was never tempted. (Because to me, saying that she was never tempted strips her of the fury of her wrath, the burning of her pain, the blazing of her power. Because to me that says she wasn’t wounded in the very soul by what happened to Alderaan, to her mind beneath Vader’s probe, to her heart again and again–and she was. Oh, she was. Because to me, taking away Leia’s anger and the rawness of her hurt means taking away what made her such a real character, a real woman, a real survivor.)
Ironically enough, it was love that brought her back from that possible path, just as it brought Vader back from the brink. Because I would eat my left shoe if it wasn’t Luke and Han, Chewie, Threepio and Artoo who kept her grounded, kept her here, gave her something other than anger and fear and hatred and revenge to live for.
Anyway, that’s just my two cents on the matter,
Thank you, Seren. I wish I could find the article now, but there was a good write-up on women being allowed to be portrayed as monsters rather than the virtuous heroine or the victim. We all have a dark side, a dangerous streak. To deny that women have the capacity for evil is to deny that they are fully human.
Leia Organa has indeed flirted with the dark side. She is still fighting the good fight when we see her in TFA but I don’t think that her inner battle is over and her victories have not come easily. Leia has straddled the line between dark and light a few times, but ultimately clawed her way back to the light before she could be consumed by the darkness. Let’s giver her credit for struggling against her demons, rather than treating her as an empty, innately good character.
When Leia speaks of Snoke’s influence over Ben, you can see on her face that she has empathy for her son. She was disgusted with Vader, she didn’t want to understand him, but she has walked a long road with Ben and the appalling things he does do not shock her, she gets it. This is a woman who has done a lot of growing in order to overcome her darker tendencies and it is a battle that she must engage in daily.
Everyone please sit down and be schooled by Seren. Girl knows her Leia meta.
