Injustice au:Batman's regime
Been thinking of an alternate Injustice where Batman goes bad and leads an authoritarian regime.

Friendly reminder THIS is the shit Snyder wanted to pull in his Justice League trilogy.
WB was right to pull the plug on the Snyderverse
My hypothetical Justice League fancast in the new DCU!

In an ideal world, we would have DC Studios ran by Dreamworks and headed by James Gunn with a storygroup consisting of Paul Dini, Mark Waid, Greg Rucka or Gail Simone to help balance out the tone of the movies between dark, gritty and lightheartedness and to keep the characters as they should be portrayed in the movies as they are in the comics. And considering that Dreamworks has always been Anti-Disney, what better home for DC than Dreamworks.
The DC movies would be free from Studio Interference, no killing a Cinematic Universe with an actual plan and replacing it with studio mandates and they would actually put as much effort into it as they do with the HTTYD and Kung Fu Panda movies and it’d be untouchable and this version of the DCEU would go toe to toe with the MCU.
You know, I really want to love the Snyderverse, like everyone else. But the man ruined it for me by his irrational devotion to Ayn Rand’s fucked up Objectivism philosophy. He twisted Clark into a much less interesting character because he can’t fathom the concept of someone doing the right thing simply because it’s the right thing.
He has Pa Kent say that maybe you should let a bus full of kids die. If your defense is “ his “maybe” is more of an “i don’t know i just want you to be safe”, he’s worried about Clark’s safety because he’s afraid of how the world would react if they knew about his powers “ then it’s a poor excuse
Pa Kent had been portrayed as being worried about Clark being discovered before (Lois & Clark being the biggest example), but he’s never said “don’t save people” because of it. The reason why Superman isn’t scary is because he was raised with such strong values. Taking that away and replacing it with “Maybe you should have let those kids die” and “You don’t owe this world a thing” makes him very frightening, because it means that it’s a lot easier for him to do stuff that essentially proves Lex Luthor right.
Oh, but wait. there is nothing that could make Lex right because he’s essentially an idiot and literally has no message or motivations to warrant that claim. Because if he did, then he’d be inadvertently portrayed as right. Snyder knows what he’s doing.
And god, his fucking worship of Frank Miller is absolute garbage. Batman kills and openly uses guns. And Snyder will retort “you’re living in a fantasy world” if you ever critique his decision of having his heroes kill
There's the fact that he casted the IDF soldier and propaganda mouth piece to play Wonder Woman. G*l G*dot is a disgrace to everything Wonder Woman is supposed to stand for.
Then there is the fact that
Even with Cyborg, the Ayn Rand bullshit is still there. When Victor has access to his powers, the voice of his father is he should not do it. The same ideology as Superman's dad. Cyborg has the power to literally eradicate poverty but instead he picks and chooses those he thinks deserves to be helped. The movie doesn't spend a lot of time here and it doesn't really interact with the rest of the story, but it is another example of how Snyder imposes his world view onto almost all of his characters.
Like, even I will admit Snyder’s take on the DCEU is better than WB’s studio mandates, but for fuck’s sake. the Ayn Rand bullshit needs to go. And his stupid ideas he wanted to get away with, he should be called out for said stupid fucking ideas
Zack Snyder is not the DC messiah ya’ll think he is
“Now, let me speak to you from my heart, not as a scientist, as a father. I brought you into the world and back to it. You can’t imagine how proud I am of who you are, have always been. So many years with you, I wasted. So many wrongs I’ve left unrighted. Everything breaks, Victor. Everything changes. The world is hurt, broken, unchangeable. But the world’s not fixed in the past, only the future, the not yet, the now. The now is you. Now’s your time, Victor. To rise, do this, be this. The man I never was. The hero you are. Take your place among the brave ones. The ones that were, that are, that are yet to be. It’s time you stand, fight, discover, heal, love, win. The time is now.”

We’ve been waiting for you, Victor. My broken boy. You don’t have to be alone anymore. We’ll be together again.

What you can do now, Victor. Your physical strength is just the tip of the iceberg. The tip of the tip. In the world of ones and zeroes, you are the absolute master. No firewall can stop you. No encryption can defy you. We’re all at your mercy, Vic. From our power grids to our telecommunications, everyone’s lives are controlled and dominated by complex digital networks that will bend without effort to your will. The fate of the world will literally rest in your hands. Its entire nuclear arsenal, you could launch with a thought. The world’s monetary systems and its complex interactions will seem as easy to manipulate for you as a child’s plaything. The question… No, the challenge won’t be doing it. It will be not doing. Not seeing. It is the burden of this responsibility that will define you and who you choose to be. Ray Fisher as Victor Stone / Cyborg in Zack Snyder’s Justice League (2021)
