• Magnus using xe/xem for Alec when xe tells them that xe wants to try it out. Later, Maryse just staring at Magnus, a bit confused for a second when she hears it for the first time. Then she excuses herself, rapidly searches the internet, before coming back with a huge and supportive smile on her face.
• Alec being the first person who gets to know that Clary is genderfluid and xe just grins and nods before ruffling her hair.
• Alec sleeping with xyr head in Magnus’ lap, mouth open and snores escaping. Xe’s been so tired and today’s the first time in 3 days xe actually got to sleep. Magnus tries their best not to move, they just play with Alec’s hair and occasionally drops a kiss on xyr forehead
• Alec always makes sure that xe comes back home, even for 2 minutes, after an early-morning patrol. Xe knows that xyr day isn’t going to go well if xe doesn’t greets xyr husband in the morning properly.
• Xem getting roped in fights between Clary and Izzy, both xyr sisters blaming xem for “taking sides”.

• anyway, skip to an hour later-- Clary's drunk and Alec's holding her up while his other sister flirts her way around the party with Magnus by her side, who never misses a chance to wink at Alec (and no Alec does not trip every time)
• Alec ties Clary's hair in a braid beforehand because he knows she's going to have a puke session sometime soon. 
• Him sitting by her side and rubbing her back when she does spill her guts out in the toilet

• There’s a song Alec has been working on since a while and he doesn’t let anyone hear it. Not even Magnus.
• Simon and Jace have given up on asking him about it. Magnus finds it a little suspicious but respects Alec’s privacy. Izzy and Clary don’t question it, because well, they know what it’s about.

“It’s about fucking time”

• They’re performing a small gig at Clary’s bar when Alec, out of the blue, tells the band that he has a new song he wants to sing with Magnus.

The thing is, Magnus didn’t know about this either. Alec hadn’t even mentioned it beforehand.

• Alec tells Magnus the melody of the song 30 minutes before it’s time for their performance. Yet, doesn’t tell him the lyrics.
• When they get on stage, however, Magnus realizes that there are no customers in the place except for the band, Clary, Alec’s parents and Magnus’ only family - Ragnor, Catarina and Raphael.

“What’s going on? I’m not forgetting an anniversary or something, am I?”

• They all stay silent, a smile on their faces as Alec hands Magnus a piece of paper, the lyrics - telling him to sing.
• Magnus isn’t able to get through it because he starts to tear up mid-way.

• Beside him, Alec is kneeling with a small velvet box in his hands.

• Clary sometimes likes to sit in Alec’s office with him because its quiet and peaceful. They just do their own stuff in silence and enjoy each other’s company
• Clary sneaks pictures of Alec and sends them to Magnus when she knows Magnus is worried about him
• Drunk Alec gives Clary piggy back rides.
• Clary calls Alec ‘big bro’ and Alec calls Clary ‘ginger’ or ‘red’ when they are alone.

• Where Mr. Bane, the Arts teacher, and Mr. Lightwood, the English teacher, flirt a lot 

(It’s mostly just Mr. Bane hitting on Mr. Lightwood and Mr. Lightwood choking and/or tripping)

• The thing is, everybody knows that they are both respectively married, the rings on their fingers are clear proof of it. So it’s kind of weird--

“Did you see Mr. Bane and Mr. Lightwood flirting?” “Um, doesn’t Mr. Lightwood have a wife?” “Pretty sure Mr. Bane is married too”

• (The thought of Mr. Lightwood maybe having a husband rather than a wife comes on when Mr. Lightwood is excessively interactive in a conversation of Queer issues, and uses gender neutral pronouns to refer to his spouse)
• One day, during Mr. Bane’s class, the students are said to do still-life sketches and in the meanwhile, Mr. Bane works on a painting of his own.  Mr. Lightwood comes in because apparently he has free slots and nothing to do.
• The way Mr. Bane and Mr. Lightwood converse with each other does not go unnoticed; It seems very homely and natural. Mr. Lightwood’s smile is certainly... a new one

“Fill, you seeing this?” “sus.”

• Mr. Bane keeps asking Mr. Lightwood to pass him his supplies and the way they move without paying mind is extremely domestic, like they do this all the time.
• Then, Mr. Lightwood goes out for a bit and comes back with a coffee for Mr. Bane (because he clearly needs it). As he’s placing it down in front of the Arts teacher, Mr. Bane gives him a kiss on the cheek. 

“Alexander, god, I love you” A laugh. “I love you, too.”

• Um, let’s just say that the class tries to hide the fact that none of them has a gaydar or common sense. 
• They also ask Ms. Lightwood, Ms. Fairchild and Mr. Wayland for all the details, because they need to know about their favorite teachers.
• (Mr. Wayland refuses to say anything because “God, not at school too”)

• Magnus replaced the angel on top of the Christmas tree with a picture of Alec’s face. Alec made him take it down.
• Alec tried to make rune shaped cookies but burnt them all. His never-give-up attitude made him bake cupcakes instead with fondant toppings (Magnus summonded the rune-shaped fondant cutters)
• Max wrapped Chairman around in christmas lights. Chairman was not happy to be all light up.
• Rafe found out where Magnus and Alec hid the gifts. He exchanged them all with jack-in-the-boxs. Everyone fell for it and he was proud of himself.
• Church decided to drink all the Santa-milk kept under the chimney. He was not sorry for it.

• Alec playing with Magnus’ jewellery when he’s bored—wearing his rings, trying out his earcuffs, wearing his bracelets.
• Magnus’ go-to outfit beind Alec’s sweater. Him just putting it on without a thought on lazy weekends.
• Alec doodling the wedding rune in different sizes during boring meetings— him then looking at the drawings with a glint in his eyes and Magnus in his heart.
• Magnus fixing up that one sweater of Alec’s which is years old with magic and never letting it go shaggy. He says that he does it for Alec because he ‘know’s its Alec’s favorite sweater’ but actually, he’s the one who loves to steal it all the time.
• Alec trying to make different- shaped pancakes. He’s pretty good at a love-rune one (well, he tries)
• Them leaving each other random notes on the fridge.
