What’s amazing is every person I’ve worked with has a different approach to work – not only how they approach a working day but their time off, their publicity, their entire way of life. And honestly they’re all mentors to me in so many ways. I learn something new every time I work, not only from fellow cast members but from the crew as well.

One of the first pieces of advice I was ever given, on my first job was, you should always buy something to treat yourself to say well done for getting the job! However I’ve not followed on that through yet… I’ve always wanted a tattoo, something to mark my experience.
“There isn’t really a plan. I’m still wondering what am I going to do when people realize I can’t act.”

I’m quite reserved – I enjoy listening more than I enjoy talking. And I’m usually really difficult to break, I have a guard up. I don’t know whether that’s because of the jobs that I’ve been on or whether it’s always been there, but I’m always really quiet to begin with.
The only time that I’ve really ever been recognised was when my best friend came back from New Zealand for a holiday. He and I were having dinner at one of my local restaurants and he asked how my life had changed. I said, “well it hasn’t at all mate.” We were sat outside and four times within that one meal I was approached and I swear to god it’s the only time it’s ever happened!
