I have these, both in the original and in collections, but it’s still tempting to order them just because.

Even better, these True Believer issues tend to get chosen because they’re relevant to new books coming out. The Soulsword one is probably because of X of Swords, and the Magik one may be because our girl is just that prominent in the X-ranks these days (Cypher is getting one too!) but who knows, they might point to more good things coming our way...

Uuuugh, Glob. Rockslide called, he wants his personality back. Because he’s much better with it.

There was mention of a second team before, but I can’t say this is what I was hoping for. Interesting to see such a clear split of one issue on one team with one creative team, then an issue on the other team with different creatives. (Was initially disappointed to see a guest--or at least not Rod Reis--artist already, but this set-up does make sense.)

I have so much speculation about New Mutants. With the possibility of Krakoa being linked to Limbo, it feels possible that we’ve got something Limbo/Illyana-related coming in the remainder of HoX/PoX and the second wave of books that couldn’t be shown earlier because Spoilers.

New Mutants, in the meantime, seems like the book with the least defined mission statement. Going to space to get Sam is an arc, not necessarily an ongoing direction. So here we have another team of relatively “new mutants” brought in.

Is that to help shift the New Mutants name to come to mean literal newer mutants? Is the classic team going to break up with some sticking with this younger team and others moving to a Limbo-related book?

Also I think the latter should be Leah Williams’ book. That’s less speculation and more wishful thinking.

Meanwhile, also confirmation that Sam is the missing teammate the muties are off to find in these solicits! (That wasn’t confirmed yet, was it? It seemed so clear regardless that I’ve zoned out on what was said.)

Two issues in November!

I think we can stop calling the New Mutants “the new generation,” it’s just a team name now, but ignoring that–this looks awesome!

And that’s definitely Gladiator’s silhouette, so odds are looking up that the team is going into Shi’ar space and are presumably looking for Sam.

This second cover also gives us a better look at the team’s costumes, and I like the team look where everyone has their own little touches on it. Shame Illyana doesn’t have the colors, she stands out.

Shame that our Lady Rasputina hasn’t returned to War of the Realms covers, but getting a Dani focus is nothing to sneeze at and hold on is that Roberto on that variant! He’d be a welcome addition to Uncanny (unless the Marvel book Jonathan Hickman is writing is Uncanny and Rosenberg is getting a New Mutants instead, then he’d be a welcome addition to that!)
