Morrigans 'I am many things but I will not be the mother you were to me' is one of my absolute favourite lines from her. Kieran is such a great addition to her character and really highlights how adamant she is to not become the person her mother was to her. Like, Morrigan actively chosing again and again to break the cycle of abuse, to be kind, to be caring, to give her son the life she never got. 'No son of mine would be raised in a bog, bereft of contact with the outside world' she declares. 'I will not let you use him!' She shouts at Flemeth. And still she believes that she isn't good enough for him, that she will somehow fail him, that she will somehow be a disappointment to him 'I take great pains not to let my reputation affect him in any way'. I just adore it so much.
