Said this to a dear and much-loved friend today, but I think maybe we all might need to see it:

  • Long-fic is not the rent you pay to be a part of fandom.
  • Fic, full-stop, is not the rent you pay to be a part of fandom.
  • Art is not the rent you pay to be a part of fandom.
  • Constantly creating is not the rent you pay to be a part of fandom.

Fandom is a community, not a corporation, your productivity is not a payment you have to make to be here.

Let's call it a very long break 😭 I still have the project in the back of my mind and it was easier when I first started out to just work on it since I had no other obligations but as of late I have too many things to do 😔 I still aim to finish the series but you'll have to have a bit more patience with me. [Day 13]: Serpentine

And another Sons of Camilla prompt, this time with my dragon OC Al - short for Alazaïr! I struggled for a long time with his design because there are so many options when it comes to dragon OCs: should I make him more human? More dragon? How about wings?

For now his intermediate form (called an "amethyst form" in the story I am working on) will look like this, while his full dragon form will probably be bigger, have wings and look more like a reptile. We'll see :)

Now, it's LORE TIME BABY!

  • he is a gentle giant, pretty chill and calm but don't be fooled, he can be deadly as well
  • head of a special protection squad, is Gaël and Natsuki's superior
  • has a soft spot for people who are curious and always willing to learn - they don't need to be particularly smart, but anyone who is passionate about something has his attention
  • he is a total book nerd and particularly enjoys fantasy
  • has a habit of collecting shiny trinkets (that's his dragon blood speaking), and he is a bit ashamed of it xD
  • will become Eliott's life partner eventually (it's a slow burn story lol)

*Note: flowers aren't included in the initial design, OBVIOUSLY. xD*
