If I had a nickel for every time Deng Lun played a really cool magic warrior guy who has some connection to mythical birds, fought a dragon/serpent in a dramatic fight scene, fell in love (or became besties/”besties” with the protagonist) and also had to actually spend some time with said protagonist to realise they’re really cool and not annoying as he first assumed, I’d have two nickels.
