Wanted to design a Cabbage element symbol for our Avatar The Last Airbender Podcast.

Simple stuff is hard y’all. I must have tried making this thing like 10 different ways. Anyway, here’s the fifth element.... cabbage?

This is Reggie! Reggie was a young teen when he was plucked from his quiet little childhood and flung into a dimension of chaos and magic. Reggie was a boy passionate about food, but hopelessly awful at cooking. He comes from a long line of failed chefs who seem almost cursed with passion for an art they simply could not master. While at-first terrified, Reggie would go on to thrive in the universe known as “The Deep” when he discovered a knack for cooking strange, alien dishes. The family curse didn’t seem to apply to these odd and abstract foods and deadly viscous proteins. Reggie would go on to become a renown chef in many systems before mysteriously vanishing from all known civilization.

Nobody knows why Reggie fled The Deep for the quiet town of Shale, Washington, but he is back, a decade after he left, with neither the prestige, nor the freedom of his old life. He has a cafe that is little more than a shack on the edge of Woodbury State Park. He never has any customers, but when the restaurant closes, he runs a night cafe for the refugees from the Deep that live in Shale. He’s the only place in town they can come to get GrubPies and ZZZZZZZXXXXYYYXYXYXX. mmmm, love that ZZZZZZZXXXXYYYXYXYXX with a good sauce. Anyway, Reggie runs a crazy Star Wars cantina in secret for ex-pats of The Deep. He has begun connecting with his old friends, and is torn between the life of high adventure, and the meaningful connections in his life he left behind.

Hello, I’d like to tell you about a place unlike any other. A quiet little town, called Shale, Wa. Shale is a town that has a deep rooted connection to somewhere... else... strange creatures wander across the rift, from a dimension bursting with magic, power, and scale. In heir home realm, planet sized gods drift through space, and civilizations rise and fall every day, the chaotic tides and currents of this place push and pull on titanic shifts in power on a regular basis. As opposed to this place, Shale is seen as a paradise, it’s a quirky small town full of misfits and oddities, but for those that have escaped The Deep, it is a refuge from abject chaos.

This is a place I’ve been building for some time. I hope you’ll join me for more.
