Tolkien Secret Art Exchange reveal! This is for boobchicken who requested, among other things, Arien and Tilion. Originally I was going to do a nice Sam quote, but then I had a VISION. Said vision involved copious amounts of metallics, so I knew before I began that this would be a painful road. But it was worth it.

I wanted the two quotes to sort of match/mirror each other, so I had to do a little cutting and editing (it felt like absolute heresy but I did it anyway). The alphabet is from here and I found the border here, and I immediately fell in love with it because it looks like both fruit and flowers. Tilion's quote is in metallic silver, while Arien's is in gold, and those same colours are used in the border.

I'm so incredibly happy with how this turned out. The metallic threads were incredibly hard to work with as always, but the end result is so pretty that I really do think it was worth it. I just hope my secret santa likes it as much as I do!

Ah it's fine :) I'm pretty terrible at keeping up with stuff, so having gaps is probably a good thing! :D

I saw it last Friday and I enjoyed it a lot more than I expected to (but then, I was expecting the absolute worst).

and as for what i plan to do with them… it has been stated previously on this blog that i have a SERIOUS ISSUE with impulse buying threads. so um. there are no real plans with them. EXCEPT FOR ONE. There is a specific blue that I bought for a Fingolfin project. So I’m not TOTALLY disorganised.

I like Assassin’s Creed a lot! Mostly I’m a JRPG player. I am a great lover of Final Fantasy, but my favourite game series is this really obscure one called Etrian Odyssey which MORE PEOPLE SHOULD PLAY BECAUSE THEN THE FANDOM WOULD BE BIGGER ~~(I don’t understand hipsters. My greatest wish is for things i love to be popular so i get more content and faster releases)~~

I also play Skyrim, but I find that it becomes a bit repetitive very quickly. That was until I made FEANORIAN SKYRIM which is legit the greatest thing I have ever done. xredriverx is making me play Dragon Age, so I might get into that at some point ~~if the no spiders mod works~~. I really enjoyed Shadow of Mordor despite its many ~~MANY~~ flaws. I appreciated that they tried! And the gameplay is very fun too.

I don’t play MMORPGs mostly because I swore to myself quite a while ago that I’d never touch one because I get addicted to that sort of thing super easily. So no matter how good one looks, I won’t play it. Because I need to get through Uni goddamn it :D

It would appear that I have the same hobbies as you :D My main issue in life is figuring out how to play video games and cross stitch at the same time. Sadly, I cannot yet do this, so I have to prioritise one over the other. I usually play a game for about a week before feeling guilty and returning to cross stitch. Like atm I wanna play Pokemon but I have about 50000 things to stitch before christmas :/

It's hard to HATE characters. But I have a very great dislike for Eol :/ (I think a lot of the fandom shares this with me). It's odd, because I really love villains, but Eol just rubs me the wrong way!

Ah, I used to love various LOTR characters the most, especially Aragorn after the release of the films, and Sam because he's AMAZING.But after I read the Silmarillion, I fell in deep with the Feanorians, with my absolute favourites being Feanor, Curufin and also Celebrimbor. I love the rest of the House of Finwe a lot too! But the Feanorians are my favourite :DWho's your least favourite character, db?
