Candy corn: used to eat it by the bag, now it just tastes/feels like sweetened candle wax to me 😕
Licorice: never have been able to finish a piece--it tastes/feels like somebody dunked some plastic in rancid fruit juice and then threw it under a dusty bed for 20 years 🤢
Peanut butter and chocolate: the perfect marriage of flavors, exquisitely balanced between salty and sugary, especially when melted and blended together into one silken spoonful of YUM 😋😋😋
Mint and chocolate: like a frosty yet cozy winter night in my mouth--the fresh, lightly sweet bite of mint plus the familiar comforting warmth of chocolate is an excellent contrast 😋😋😋
Sour candies: depends on the candy. Most gooey chewy sour candies take too long to dissolve, so I'm left suffering through the pucker factor too long. (They taste like I imagine the most brutal sarcasm tastes.) The powdery candies are a little better, though I still don't seek out taste bud punishment like that. 😂
