corporate ppl are always like “i hate email comms they cause so many delays” but those people are fools. i crave communication delays. i hit send on an email and then immediately shoot a prayer up to the heavens that the response may take 2-3 days. let’s slow everything down just a bit thank you.
this is the most productive workforce in history and im just doing my part to dial that back a tad

calvin and hobbes
"You misspelled Weltanschauung" is one of the funniest punchlines I've ever encountered.
Watterson pulled no punches
I grew up on Calvin and Hobbes... this hits harder as an adult.
Bill Watterson explained that the third panel is based on his dad, without exaggeration.
by Bill Watterson
my favorite calvin and hobbes comic is the one where his dad just rolls up and casually destroys his entire night by pointing out some neat trivia about record players
#his expression in the last panel is black comic gold #the best part is that his dad was trying to be nice
are you sure. are you sure calvin’s dad is not a seasoned elder trickster. are you sure this isn’t the exact outcome he was hoping for
ok but that’s actually canon
You forgot this one
*looks pointedly at ETD*
Calvin’s dad is basically a Calvin who has learned that he can’t get away with running outside naked or throwing snowballs at neighborhood girls, but he is still precisely the same little shit under the thin veneer of civilization.
@lyricwritesprose Calvin and Hobbes has been one of my favorite things since I could read and Calvin’s dad one of my favorite characters, but that last comment blew my mind wide open. Of course that’s what he is. Of course.
Calvin’s dad is a lawyer.
Charles M. Brown, you have been found guilty of destruction of state property, and are sentenced to be shot. Have you any final words?
“Good grief...”
Everyone seems to have the same impression of overdue library books.
Bill Watterson is an insightful dude…
Calvin’s dad is a radical anti capitalist.
He was definitely a primmie
Sorry to burst your collective bubble, but if you guys wanted to see the ACTUAL last comic, it’s kind of sweet:
I don’t mean to be rude, but just thought some people might like to see that it doesn’t end so sadly :)
