A Strange Mirror with a Different Reflection

Reddit user u/Danat_Shepard posted to r/Glitch_in_the_Matrix about an unexplainable event he witnessed at 3am while staying at his sister’s house. All the lights were off in the room, but when he looked into the mirror in the room a lamp sitting on a desk was turned on. The lamp was surely turned off but the reflection clearly showed the lightbulb glowing. He quickly thought to take a video before leaving.

But that’s not all. Many Reddit users responded to his post claiming that wasn’t all that was seen in the mirror. Below the desk can be seen the face of a ghostly figure staring at him through the mirror’s reflection. The lamp’s reflection is sure to make you scratch your head’s, but the figure’s face is enough to send chills down your spine. What exactly is happening here? Something paranormal? A clever hoax? Or a real glitch in the matrix? What do you think?

Ghost Adventures Missed Apparition

The popular show Ghost Adventures has been responsible for documenting groundbreaking paranormal evidence since their documentary aired in 2004. The investigators pride themselves on capturing damning evidence of the paranormal, but sometimes eagle eyed fans see something that the crew may have missed. During their investigation of the Palmer House Hotel, Zak, Nick and Aaron held an EVP session on the location’s second floor. The team begins to experience a large quantity of unexplained activity, including lead investigator Zak Bagans being scratched.

During this hotbed of activity, viewers of the show claim that the crew captured a full bodied apparition and didn’t even know it. While reviewing an EVP, an apparition can be seen standing in the doorway behind Zak. While it does look like the shape of a person it hasn’t been confirmed if this is official paranormal evidence or not. While many viewers think that this a full bodied apparition, it could be nothing more than some debris or other obstructions. Do you agree with the viewers? What do you think it is?

The Faceless Girl: Hungary 1943

A man took this photo of his wife leaning against signpost in Hungary, 1943, but the photo captured a bit more than that. There are two figures in the photo but the most disturbing of which is the faceless, armless girl standing on the road behind the woman. And directly behind the woman is a full frown man appearing to be walking. This photo is something you’d expect to see in a horror film and its honestly worthy of one.

The photo surfaced back on July 1st, 2016 on Paranormal 360 with the uploader named Szigeti Gyöngy claiming he lives in Hungary and had just found the photo of his mother and the photographer was his father. He also provided the raw photo and writing on the back of it that can't be translated. The photo was not altered and was actually taken in 1943. What the two figures are is unknown, but disturbing nonetheless.

Tower of Terror Ghost

This video was captured during a after hours maintenance check of Disney’s Hollywood Studios’ Tower of Terror ride. The video shows an employee checking on the ride to make sure everything is functioning correctly… but it appears he wasn’t the only one on the ride that night. The first ghostly figure appears to be sitting behind the worker at 0:27. The figure is only visible for less than a second but pausing the video will give you a clear view of it. The figure is gone for a while but reappears at 1:15 down the row from the man. It appears to be sitting on the ride and is only visible for brief moments until it is clearly seen from 1:22 until 1:25. The figure is seen there faintly until it’s completely gone at 1:30. This isn’t the first piece of ghost footage from Walt Disney World, and it’s not the first time the resort and theme parks have been rumored to be haunted. Hundreds of people’s ashes have been spread across Disney World’s theme parks, resorts and yes even inside the rides. And while there have been very few incidents, there has been documented deaths in Disney World. Is this footage genuine evidence of ghosts on the Tower of Terror? Or is it just a publicity stunt done by Disney to attract more people to their parks? Stay curious!

Shadow People

A shadow figure is a paranormal entity that appears as a dark black figure typically in a male-humanoid form. Exactly what they are is unknown and so is their purpose. Some believe them to be their own guardian angel but others believe them to be demonic, malevolent entities. Of course a shadow figure could just simply be a ghost manifesting itself and appearing as a black shadow. Its difficult to say exactly what these mysterious beings are, and since the paranormal isn’t an exact science we may never know. 

An interesting thing to note is the recurring descriptions. The main one seen is a hatted black figure, this is seen all over the world by many people. The second most common is a hooded figure. Sometimes these figures appear as full bodied shadows, but other times they’re only seen from the waist up. A lot of times witnesses just describe a cloudy black mass, these too can be shadow figures who just haven’t manifested into a humanoid form. 

Next time you see a black shadow out of the corner of your eye, only to dart out of view when you look directly at it know that you’re not alone. You are being watched.

Isla de las Muñecas

South of Mexico City sits a place straight out of a horror film. The Isla de las Muñecas which translates to Island of the Dolls is one of the worlds creepiest places on earth. Hanging from trees all around the island are dolls, but the reason they are there are far more terrifying. Don Julian Santana Barrera was the caretaker of Isla de las Muñescas, one day he found the body of a drowned young girl floating near the shore. Days later a found a doll floating in the water that he assumed was the young girl’s so he grabbed it and hung it up on the island in remembrance of her. Over the years dolls continued to float towards the island, some burnt, missing eyes, arms legs and heads. Yet Julian continued to hang the dolls around the island. It wasn’t long before he noticed something strange about the dolls, they would move and blink and even whisper to eachother. It had appeared that the dolls had become possessed by the spirits of children, including the spirit of the little girl who Julian found dead in the water. He became full of regret and guilt of the young girl’s death, and after 50 years of torment he was found dead, floating in the water drowned in the same spot he found the young girl. Some even say he now too possesses the dolls on Isla de las Muñecas The Island of the Dolls has become a place of nightmares. A haunted island full of possessed dolls seems fearful to most, and there are very few who are brave enough to step foot on it in broad daylight, and even fewer at night. Could you?

The Tulip Staircase Ghost

If you’re looking for famous ghost photos, this picture always seems to pop up. It was taken in 1966 by Reverend Ralph Hardy who wanted to take a picture of the beautiful spiral staircase named The Tulip Staircase in the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich, England. Ever since it has gone down in history as one of the most authentic ghost photos of all time. The photos appears to show a mysterious figure clinging to the railing of the stairs while what looks like it falling. After intense investigation it was determined that the photo hadn’t been tampered with and whatever was captured on film was actually there. This section of the building, known as Queen’s House, has always been said to be haunted. Ghostly apparitions and phantom footsteps are often seen and heard near these very same stairs.

The Greenbrier Ghost

Zona Heaster Shue (pictured on the right above) was born in Greenbrier county, West Virginia in 1873. In October of 1896 she met a man named Edward Stribbling Trout Shue who found work in the county as a blacksmith. Zona’s mother Mary Jane Heaster (pictured on the left above) didn’t approve of the two’s love, however Zona and Edward married later that year. 

On January 23rd, 1897 Zona was found dead at the bottom of the stairs in her home by a young boy who ran errands for her and Edward. The boy told her mother who contacted the coroner. By the time the coroner arrived Edward had cleaned and dressed Zona’s corpse and had laid her on their bed, which was unusual. Edward wept and held Zona’s head as the coroner did the examination. He noticed bruises on her neck but Edward reacted aggressively to the accusation so the coroner left and ruled the death as a heart attack. When Mary  was notified of the death she became suspicous as to the cause of Zona’s death, believing that Edward had something to do with it. During the funeral Edward wrapped a scarf around his dead wife’s neck and wouldn’t let anyone get too close. Those who saw her said her head seemed “loose” from her body. 

Weeks went by as Mary was haunted by the suspicion that Edward murdered her daughter. One night as she laid in bed her room became ice cold and a bright light flashed, Zona’s spirit manifested before her mother’s eyes. Zona explained to her mother that Edward was an abusive man and broke her neck out of anger. She did this four nights in a row which led Mary to contact the authorities. When looking into Edward’s background it was shown he had been in and out of prison and married twice before, and both wives died under “mysterious circumstances.” Zona’s body was quickly exhumed to find that her neck had been broken, Edward was arrested soon after the discovery and found guilty of murder, he was sentenced life in prison. Townsfolk gathered and attempted to lynch Edward but their efforts failed and Edward was sent to Moundsville Penitentiary. He died in that prison in 1900, perhaps he is one of the spirits who haunts it. This is the only case in history where a ghost’s testimony lead to solving a crime and convicted a murderer.

Creepy Voices in Abandoned Mine

Mines are scenes of great tragedy, many men entered a mine searching for gold and riches, fewer left. The life of a miner was a dangerous one. Worrying about cave-ins, fires, and other dangers put your life under constant threat. Unfortunately thousands of miners lost their lives on the job, which means some of them still haven’t left. Many mines are haunted because of their tragic history. Especially throughout the American west during men’s greedy search for gold. This video was originally intended to be a review of the ThruNite TN12 Flashlight, but towards the end took a creepy turn. It starts off in a stormy night as Frank (the uploader) approaches the Waldeck Mine. He gets in the tunnel and talks about the flashlight, then starts to talk about the mine itself. The entire video is interesting and worth a watch but the voices start at 12:08. He seems visibly shaken by the voices and tries to calm himself down by giving logical explanations but the sounds are clearly voices. Entire phrases can be made out. The first voice is hard to make out, but the first audible one is at 12:13. It appears to be saying “turn the lights off.” The next audible voice is at 12:17 and it says “faster, faster, faster.” The next couple seconds are hard to make out because he is stumbling, but at 12:29 it’s hard to decide what I’m hearing. “Get out” or “fear us” or “turn it off” is repeated three times. The most bone chilling of voices appears at 12:41 and it clearly says “you can see me in the shadows.” That voice is followed by what I hear as “go home” and Frank starts to unknowingly honor that request as he makes his way back towards the portal. At 12:56 the last voice says “help me I’m on fire, send me outside.” This clip was very creepy, and it defiantly sounds like some creepy voices were captured. Due to the storm outside some people think it was just wind making the voices, some people think they were added in by the user to get views. But he majority of the viewers think this video is authentic, including myself. He seems like a reasonable trustworthy guy who has a hobby of exploring mines. It’s not the first time he’s had paranormal experiences in them, because he has other videos. When frequenting your time in a place like mines it’s hard not to. YouTube: Exploring Abandoned Mines

Ghost Adventures Documentary

The hit show Ghost Adventures quickly became Travel Channel’s #1 show when it debuted in 2008, But Zak Bagans and his crew started long before that. They began filming their independent documentary Ghost Adventures back in 2004, spending just over 3 years in production until it finally aired on the Syfy Channel in July of 2007. The film follows the team’s first investigations as they investigate Nevadas most haunted locations. During their investigations they capture some of the most compelling evidence of the paranormal including EVP’s, poltergeists throwing objects and even a full bodied apparition. After it aired they almost immediately got a contract with Travel Channel and quickly rose to fame. The documentary is about an hour and a half long and definitely worth the watch. The honesty and “no bullshit” attitude these guys put forward definitely adds a lot to their credit. If you don’t believe in ghosts you definitely will after watching this.

Ghost Girl in Burning Building

On the night of November 19, 1995 the town hall on Wem, England caught fire. Townfolk watched in horror as the blaze consumed the building. Resident of Wem, Tony O'Rahilly snapped this photo of the inferno. When the film was developed he noticed a little girl standing within the burning building. Tony, the firefighters and the many spectators never noticed a girl in or near the building. This lead many to believe the girl seen in the photo was a ghost. In fact, they even stated that the spirit is that of Jane Chum who accidentally started a fire in 1677 in Wem which killed her and destroyed much of the town. The photo was investigated and said to be authentic. Skeptics believe that the girl pictured on the photo was trick of the light or the smoke. Others still continue to believe that a picture of a girl from a 1922 postcard was photoshopped in. The photographer passed away in 2005 and nobody can prove or authenticate the photo to this day.
