15 & 18!!!
Or 39 & 46!!!! (Should be survival/wilderness & blind date)
Mwuahahahahahaha!
Criminals and Circus OBVIOUSLY Devi is a criminal on the run from the law, so she hides herself in a circus where Paxton is the lion tamer. He actually hates this job and longs to be the ringmaster but he's always dismissed as just a pretty face. Until Devi gets there. She's a clown who thinks everything about this circus is a mess and sets out to find who in the place could run it better. Great news, she sees potential in Paxton and has to build up his confidence so he can do it. Bonus points because she's actually a very capable gymnast (from the crime, ala parker in leverage) but she needs to hide her face because of the being on the run thing. So Paxton obviously sees her trying out the trapeze stuff and is in awe. He didn't know she could do that. And oh yeah, he doesn't know she's a criminal so that's a big moment where they fight because she's just using his circus to hide herself. BUT REALLY in the end, he'll protect her because he can't NOT. He loves her and she gave him the confidence to be the ringleader. And her crimes were like...for a good cause. So he forgives that but also suggests they use her crime skills to robin hood stuff.
Survival/Wilderness and Blind Date
Kamala set Devi up on a blind date. It's a hike which Devi finds absolutely abhorrent but she saw the guy's pic and decided it might be worth it. Paxton's cousin set him up on a blind date, hiking. But the girl never showed. Fuck it. He'll hike the hike by himself. Why waste a perfectly good day? Halfway up the hike, Devi and her hot date are done. He said women weren't as athletic as men, based on the fact that Devi was huffing and puffing. Out of spite, Devi kept hiking and told this dude he sucked and to take his own hike, off the trail and fall down the mountain. She was doing so well until she tripped on a couple of rocks and ends up with a sprained ankle. Paxton runs into her sobbing on the trail, by herself, and it starts to rain.
"Did you come hiking in Air Force Ones?" Paxton says, delicately touching her ankle and moving it to see the extent of the damage. "I'm an indoorsy person and they matched my outfit. The other option was Crocs because they're the most comfortable shoes I own. But they're not really date worthy."
"Or hiking worthy," Paxton says. They have to hunker down under a rock formation while it rains. It's cold. Gotta snuggle for warmth. And also discuss bad blind dates they keep having. And also fall in love.
Send me two (2) tropes from this list + a ship and I’ll describe how I’d combine them in the same story.
