this jar is great for having on a necklace, keeping on your nightstand, alter, carrying in your bag/wait-staff apron at work, or you could gift it to a friend! this jar is great at attracting luck of all kinds, especially wealth and wish granting, it works really well for protection against ill intentions and helps curb bad energy :)

cleansing crystals

i actually got the inspo to put his post together from @let-it-bee! tysm for the suggestion :) so! below i’ll list a few different methods for cleansing your crystals, for both crystals that can and cannot be submerged in water!

- stormy bath

put your crystals out during a storm! the energy of storm rain is amazing for cleansing just about anything, alternatively you can just put them out during a good rain which will work really well too! (for a waterless option place them on the windowsill instead of outside during the rain)

- salt bowl

i’ve seen this used a lot for tarot decks too; fill up a bowl with some (i recommend coarse) salt, and slap your babes in there! i like to do this on a new moon especially, if you’ve got a softer stone or anything like that (maybe desert rose, selenite) i recommend just getting a smaller, empty bowl and putting your crystal inside that bowl inside the salt bowl, hope that makes sense :)

- smoke cleansing

this can be done with plenty different types of incense, just anything you associate with cleansing, personally i like dragon’s blood, sage, good earth, eucalyptus, and black pepper incense for cleansing!

- smoke cleansing pt.2

this time with bark! yes, bark!! i don’t really hear many witches talk ab this but you can dry bark out and it’ll burn pretty well for you, it’s got great cleansing and it’s got an extra earthy punch to it as you can imagine, barks like oak and birch are great as they’re pretty common and cleanse really well!

- smoke cleansing pt.3

herb bundles! herbs like rosemary, thyme, raspberry leaves, lavender, eucalyptus, juniper, and plenty more can all be used in herbal bundles for cleansing!! even flower petals! keep in mind that when you’re smoke cleansing you gotta have good airflow, safety first witches, crack a window or something!

- bury it!

this method is especially useful for earth stones ofc, for more delicate stones just put them in a small jar and bury that (the only time it’s ok to bury glass is when you’re takin it right back out) i recommend burying on a full moon or you could even bury it on a new moon and leave it there for a full cycle :)

- candlelight

this method is pretty straightforward; white candles are great for this, black candles also work well for ushering out negative/stale energies, but ofc any colour you associate with cleansing can be used here!

- nap time!

i’ve found more than a couple times that if i’ve got my crystals next to me in bed and i take a nice solid nap, most of them will feel much better once i wake up and handle them a bit, though i do notice this doesn’t do much for fire stones, but that might be a personal thing i’m not sure; anyway i highly recommend this for spoonie witches! or just anyone looking for a pretty easy way to try cleansing with super minimal effort

- bodies of water

i super recommend rivers or the ocean for this one, if you’re at the beach make sure you’re like basically only using quartz in the actual water and for very short periods of time then rinse with fresh water shortly after, not sure what else can withstand saltwater but i’d research beforehand just in case! rivers have really powerful cleansing energy and of course the fresh water is more forgiving to other water tolerable stones <3

we’ve got a cancer moon on our hands right now (july 18th - 20th) and i definitely plan on utilizing it in some healing/relaxing spellwork; here’s just some quick info on some traits of the waning/new moon in cancer, spellwork & activities that pair well with it, etc <3

energy cleansing and healing spell

this spell isnt necessarily overly complicated as far as components, but it’s a little physically involved, just a note if you’re a witch that has to worry about spoons and such, but on an okay day id say it’s perfectly doable

[ what you’ll need; ]

• white candle

• light pink candle

• yellow candle

• light blue candle

• sage incense

• three small bowls/plates

• mortar and pestle

• rose petals

• fresh thyme

• sugar

• honey

• lavender water

[ steps ]

light your candles, then your incense using the white candles flame. make sure you’re catching the ash cause you’ll need it later in the spell as well

in three separate bowls have your rose petals and then your thyme, then mix your sugar, honey, and lavender water into the third bowl.

place the rose bowl in front of your pink candle, charging it with self love, healing, forgiveness, and compassion.

place the thyme bowl in front of the yellow candle, charging it with healing, energy, happiness, and fulfillment.

finally, place your third bowl in front of the blue candle, charging it with soothing, healing, emotional strength, love, and gentleness.

gently grind together your petals and thyme, then add in some of the incense ash and use a bit of the lavender water to bring it to a pasty-paint-ish consistency of sorts, then add in the third bowls contents and combine, add more water if needed to keep the consistency where we need it

take the sludge and spread it across your face how you see fit, be messy if you want, get carried away, be as gentle or chaotic as you feel necessary and once you’re satisfied that everything’s been perfectly scrubbed with your new intent, rinse it all off with nice cool water and pat dry, follow up with a lavender/rose water/tea tree toner if you’d like, and a light moisturizer ✨

spell to banish negative thoughts

pretty self explanatory, this ones a bit experimental but ive got a good feeling about it so far so, ill probably update the post later on with more notes after ive tried it another time or two~ 🖤

now what?

• write your thoughts or fragments of them down on your paper, get things off your chest and reflect for a moment- scribble angrily or X things out that you’re really sick of thinking already, but this really doesn’t need to be the focus, put your paper aside when finished. if you feel the need to cry let yourself let it out, then continue on~

• light your candle and light your charcoal (in your fire safe area disclaimers disclaimers don’t burn your house down)

• add 6 pinches one pinch at a time of acorn powder, working clockwise

• add 3 pinches each; one pinch at a time of black salt and then cayenne pepper, all counter clockwise

• place your paper face down with your writing touching the cayenne pepper

• place your resin on top of the paper

• sprinkle over your crushed rose petal in an even layer across the resin, then toss a pinch of sage sugar on top followed by a pinch of black pepper or a crack of freshly ground

• light a bay leaf and place on top gently and carefully, manifest all the energy you can into banishing your negative thoughts along with the negative energy they bring you. you’re freed of racing thoughts, incessant worry, needless pain, and self doubt or deprecation.

energy healing spell 🕯

a spell to ease tension, heal low energies, uplift your mood, and invoke peace.

three candles; one blue, pink, and white
two small-medium sized shells (calico scallop shells, small conch-like shells, or muscle shells work great)
rose infused moon water
dried lavender, rosemary, and thyme
mortar and pestle
fresh petals from one pink rose
charcoal disk
3 drops eucalyptus essential oil
patchouli incense
matches
optional; a sigil for your personal intent (healing, self love, confidence, empowerment, growth, etc)

- sit somewhere with good light, preferably sunlight of course or outside and have your resources laid in front of you how you desire.

- start by lighting your candles with match. take both of your shells, and place them on an even surface, carefully filling them with the rose infused moon water.

- next, in a mortar and pestle begin to grind your dried herbs together gently, once combined and roughly uniform transfer into a small bed of your fresh pink rose petals, then lay that on top of your charcoal disk, top it with the eucalyptus oil and begin to burn, following up by lighting your patchouli incense alongside it.

- if you choose to include a sigil, write it now onto any piece of paper and place it on top to burn as well. once done, sip the water in your shells (if your version is edible, if not then pour it over your hands or water plants with it).

- sit and relax into your spell for as long as you need before blowing out your candles and tidying up.
