Warhammer 40k question: do you have any vague world-building ideas for Daemon-Worlds? The ttrpg manuals for Black Crusade, plus certain Black Library novels, have shown how planets in the warp can be inhabited by mortals such as humans. If you don't have anything, then ask me to reblog this with ideas.
Heya, thank you for an ask! I have thought on it for a bit and here are some of ideas that came to my mind based on four Chaos flavours:
- Slaanesh - going off the artistic side, maybe a whole planet is some kind of an unending theatre performance with inhabitants "playing roles" and gods forbid you forget the script, because your lovely daemon overseers have a penchant for perfectionism
- Khorne - consider. Blood Ocean. WH40k doesn't have a lot of seafaring stuff to my knowledge, but it can be an interesting opportunity to make it work. Either as something more horror-themed, like Iron Lung, or maybe more kind of Pirates of the Bloody Seas
- Tzeentch - I think it can be a possibility to introduce some borderline trollish trimetravel, trimeloop or space distortion shenanigans. Different speed or even direction of time in different areas, interlocking and randomly appearing time loops and bubbles, etc
- Nurgle - I believe ideas of an entire planets being living bodies already exist in the canon, but it can be a funny setting for some nurglite intervention with disease spreading and people trying to survive in this mess. Alternatively, what about a place where death is not really a thing and horrific implications of people continuing to exist in a state akin to ancient cultists in the Ritual movie?
