I feel like there was a certain level of confusion regarding “Measse” from my Lily and Friends Silm AU and Measse like an actual Tolkien character. 

It is a bit questionable, but while she certainly takes on a mantle of an actual character with her ascension to the position of a quasi-deity centered around exessivelly bloody asskicking, she is not specifically Measse from Book of Lost Tales. 

Her very petty reason to change name was based around practically everyone in Aman botchering her human one. And I suppose emotional desire to distance from human past. 

Since I am having many thoughts about them - precious cinnamon roll Lily and her, clearly the most hinged, older sister. Later at the point depicted took name of Measse and acts the part. I honestly tried to think of some other description for this picture, that would hopefully explain some more lore about there two, but, like, eh? If anyone actually interested I can try giving some kind of it, but otherwise don’t really see a point. Explanation would break like 45% of Tolkien’s canon, so here is that. 

I am still thinking about Lily and TJ (Curufinwe Twice Junior, third Curufinwe in family), so bear with me for a moment.

So, essentially their side of this AU is just this giant comfort fic. Well, at least until they are grown up and ready to deal with some light drama and really dig into weird family details on both sides.

But for the most part this is just this creative and full of hopes elven kid hanging out with this kind and bubbly human (?) kid and giant talking cat, that finds two of them adorable and precious.

And their story being like, this sunny kid stuff, if it makes sense? Like, you know, is it something world changing, ground breaking and precise, for the lack of better term? Probably nah. But it is genuine, it is maybe naive, but it is genuine, and kind, and sweet.

Just two fictional kids having maybe somewhat awkward, but childhood to fondly remember? Idk.

I have just remembered that I have another Silmarillion-related AU. That is also marginally related to story of Ncharr.

By marginally I mean she is a background character in the second one, being very happy and content with her married life with Miriel (numenorean one). They have a sweet sea-side cottage.

Practically that second AU is about Lily and Twice Junior. Lily being moderately weird human kid and Twice Junior (third Curufinwe in a family, therefore Curufinwe Twice Junior) being equally weird elven kid.

And just do kid stuff in Aman. Build sandcastles, visit all the family friends, explore the land starting from Feanor's backyard, play make-believe, you know. Typical kid stuff.

And that's basically the whole thing. As they grow older scope of innocent adventuring slightly grows. But like. Only good and chill things here. And pancakes with strawberry jam.

Addressing the elephant in the room, yes there is a very convoluted plot reason as for why Lily's very human family ended up in Aman.

Has a lot to do with her older siblings, concepts of the Second Music/Arda Healed and also this one thing from the early Legendarium where, if I recall it correctly, early Turin and Nienor got some pretty legendary blessing involving among other things bathing in magic fire and following this moving to live in Aman and finally having something good in their lives.

Old Legendarium is absolutely wild sometimes and I love it so much.

In any case. I have this AU too. Mainly about these two children, later teenager, then young adults, sometimes about their various relatives and acquaintances too. Including at least one talking cat, several baby sosig dragons, Ingwe bribed into teaching musical instruments and a whole lot of overcomplicated inventions for miniscule problems.

Lily and her gusli, Curufinwe the Twice Junior and Moru the Cat ft. Laurelin aka "You walk under my branches one time and you will be brushing glitter from your hair for eternity" kinda Tree.
