Harrakhty probably would not say it out loud to anyone but Parvati, but the Week of Nightmares truly was exactly that and yes these events still haunt him to this day. That week changed the course of the rest of his existence, for he saw that his earthly gifts - a partner who was his equal and his adoring temple - can be snatched from him in an instant completely without any influence on his part. He had to fight a powerful and crazed Parvati in his Sobek form, and he realized he could not kill her at all when he had her in torpor. Thankfully Parvati snapped out of the influence of her grandsire within a few more days, but the damage to the temple and to Harri was done. This night is what made him desire a true lineage - something tangible to share with Parvati and to carry on their legacy and teachings if something were to happen. Funny enough - Nyth's near fatal gunshot wound and Noa's desperation to revive him fell "fortuitously" within the same year as the Week of Nightmares, which meant the Setite Elder was willing to give a young necromancer a chance on her promises... which ended up giving Harri and Parvati their daughter Kahanni, born January 1st 2000. AN AMAZING QUESTION - I'm sorry it took so long to answer and I wish I could've drawn more for it. I skipped a couple of panels so I'm sorry if it's a bit quick!! <3

Fangfest 2024 - Day Twenty-Two - The World

The World card in Tarot represents achievement, fulfillment, possibilities and happy endings. An ending to a cycle before the next beginning comes where another fool takes a hero's journey. A finale. I drew three complete groups together, enjoying their peace. It may be temporary, but they are all whole units. The Followers of Set - Harrakhty, his wife Parvati, and their daughter Kahanni. The Setites taking pride and true joy with their little godling. Nythanel and Noa, two halves of the same soul that have clawed their way to the top, together - and it will always be so. The Stakebait Coterie, a bunch of Thinbloods who wouldn't have picked this life but now they wouldn't trade each other for the world. Thank you all so much for letting me indulge and draw our characters for the Fangfest! This was so awesome and I was jazzed to do it the whole time! And of course, the biggest thank you to @thesixthplaneteer who contributed inspiration and a lot of the characters to this line up. <3

Fangfest 2024 - Day Eighteen - The Star

"Rejoice! For He has been reborn in Her. The Father reforged in new flesh and blood, broken free from the prison of Duat and the siren's call of the Aeons. Rejoice! For the Herald of the Good Times is among us! Praise be unto Father Set, praise be unto Kahanni. Our time beneath the soil is coming to an end, my Kindred, and the great serpent will swallow the sun as a gift to Her and She will guide us at last to our rightful seats as the Gods of humanity." The Star represents inspiration, hope, opportunity and renewed faith. While Harrakhty and Parvati met and walked with Set, in modern nights the faith began to wane the longer He remained absent. When Parvati went mad at the awakening of Zapathasura and nearly slew the temple in her fury, Harri was near a breaking point - knowing his earthly gifts were finite and he could lose his treasures and his beloved in an instant. He needed something more, something real to remind him of his faith. When a young Giovanni necromancer came to him, begging him to save her Thinblood friend in exchange for providing him a flesh and blood child, how could Harri not see this as a sign from divinity? Kahanni is his miracle child, his treasure. She has a huge weight on her shoulders, but for the entirety of the Followers of Set, surely it's worth it in the end?

Fangfest 2024 - Day Sixteen - The Devil Harrakhty Hamdi, hierophant to the Temple of Relentless Pleasures, Elder Setite and proud grand-Childe to Set. Husband to her elegance lady Parvati and true-blood father to Set Reborn. Blessed by the Father himself with many gifts, he lives lavishly and lovingly for his followers. Born in the dirt and having lived in squalor, he now exists in his immortal unlife entombed in gold, as is his right. The Devil card represents sexuality, bondage to mortal pleasures and materialism. Despite living unchained to the Aeons, Harri is just like the flock he shepherds - shackled mercilessly the pleasures and gifts of the material realm.

Ignore me I'm late night/early morning Setite sketching! (Parvati has very high Auspex and she loves to scan everyone before a big meeting... some meetings end a little worse than others.<3)

GASP! A few questions about our lady, Parvati... thank you!! :0 XXX

🍑: What sort of traits does your OC look for in a Significant Other? Parvati's interest is like the wind - fickle and always changing, and she simply enjoys whatever or whoever tickles her fancy in the moment. Beauty is occasionally a factor in her decision-making, but she is so old now and has seen so many different shapes and looks for people that one would have to REALLY physically stand out to catch her interest in that way. She would NOT be above bedding a comely Tzimisce or an interesting Nosferatu. A bold personality is charming as well, but only to an extent. Many "lovers" she takes briefly are merely brief pings on her radar before she grows bored and moves on. Her husband is the Hierophant of the Followers of Set, and he's the only one who truly keeps her forever piqued. It's hard to follow up a grand act like Harrakhty Hamdi, and they both know this. Displays of power are probably the fastest way to get her attention, and to keep if you so want to. She's a mind reader, so duplicity and secrecy against her and her own is probably the number one way to get iced.

🎂: Has your OC have any contradictory interests or traits to the first preception people have of the? How do they surprise people? Parvati is a very very old vampire, and has lived in the jungles away from people for a long time. She doesn't speak much, and radiates "I am a predator and will eat you if you remain here" energy... but Parvati is also very tender. Her tenderness is reserved for her husband and child and perhaps a lucky enough one-night stand, but it's very interesting to witness someone you imagine to be feral caress your face softly and treat you kindly. She's a very devoted mother to her child as well, another thing you may not expect from a Methuselah Ravnos/Follower of Set.

🍪: What is something that's sentimental to you OC? Nothing physical is sentimental to Parvati, she is simply too old. However, her husband's physical heart - a wedding gift - is probably the one object she would fight to the death over.

🍩: What's a crime your OC is most likely to commit? What's a crime they're most likely to get arrested for? Aside from the NORMAL vampire problems - murder and etc... Parvati would most likely be arrested for public indecency. She doesn't like clothing really and wouldn't be dressed if not for her husband treating her like a Barbie doll.

My Giovanni/Hecata Noa Hidalgo coming to make a deal with the Setite Elder and Hierophant - Harrakhty Hamdi - so that she may acquire special ingredients for the ritual that will restore her beloved Nythanel to her! This is 1999/2000. Harri's meeting room is pretty cozy~ (more detailed description of the scene within the picture captions!)

This is a SUPER work in progress and so it's not fully drawn, I definitely need to redraw a bunch of the faces, and panels are missing things from previous panels but I'm still proud! Apologies for the nudity!
