27. When was the last time they cried? Noa cries when it comes to her best friend Nythanel easily - as he is her rock in this very dangerous and strange world. I picture Nyth and Noa as a sort of dual Rook during the events of the Veilguard game - so the story I picture for this situation is: Nythanel is the one who is severely injured and bleeding at Solas's ritual site which later builds the connection to the Dread Wolf, and Noa in the heat of this moment begins to weep at the sight of her long time best friend with a possible brain injury. She may still be fighting off demons and getting shit done as a leader, but that's her best friend. He can't die without her, he just can't. Tears stream down her face as the others help grab his body, unsure of how they'll go on together.

48. A color, flower, animal, and weather to describe Rook: Noa's favorite color is soft pink, though the color I imagine most could be a dustier, or murkier color perhaps. Perhaps still pink because she still has a bit of inexperience and naivete despite her years, but it's tinged with something. Perhaps the taint of Darkspawn blood, the taint of the people who shaped her and her strange way of thinking.... it's a beautiful and girlike color but it's not pure. (And that's okay.) Noa's favorite flower is the rose, as common as that may seem, but perhaps a gladiolus may be better. The sword lily, representing strength through adversity and fighting for freedom. She has tried to crawl out of captivity all of her life and she won't stop now. Noa's favorite animal and definitely representation animal is that of a dog or a wolf. She is so fiercely loyal, and once her loyalty is given - that's that. The morality of your choice doesn't matter because you're hers and she is yours. A good weather for Noa is the approaching storm - the rumbling clouds and the dark sky but it's not here yet. It can still give way to sunshine, or it can become a tempest! But there's always an air that you should be speaking carefully with her because you're not sure where that powerful personality could go!

4. Which faction did they join, and why? How long has it been? Noa Hidalgo joined the Grey Wardens along with her best friend Nythanel! They were both in the Antivan Circle together, and to avoid the life of captivity and punishment for trying to branch out into darker paths of magic, they JUMPED on the chance to become Grey Wardens when the breach opened up during the time of the Inquisition. Nyth and Noa linked arms and drank the darkspawn blood together, confident they would survive the Joining, and they did! They awoke born anew, and took on the name Espinoza (Thorny!) to symbolize their new lives together. They joined the Wardens at ages 16 and 18 during the year of the Breach opening, so they're approximately late twenties or early thirties by the beginning of Veilguard.

16. Got any tattoos? What's the story behind them? Noa has a tattoo of a Grey Warden insignia along with roses twining around it that she shares with Nyth on her back!

30. What is Rook's class? Did they choose it? Noa is a mage, her power manifesting when she was a LITTLE little girl in Antiva. Her father was a noble who hid her from the world until she used her powers to purposely lash out at her brother's fiance when she was 12 years old. Arguably, she did not choose this life though she does enjoy being a mage for the most part despite all the issues.

9. What is Rook like on the battlefield? Ignoring actual in-game mechanics (though they're fun!) I personally imagine Noa using the stave + orbs in battle. I imagine her a bit like a slow-moving cloud of power on the battlefield - a few orbs flying around going off while she uses her staff for focused attacks. It takes a LOT of mana and concentration, but she puts off HEAVY hits. Nythanel - her Warden companion - is built to be the more fast-moving quick hitter while she is slow - effectively protecting her when necessary. The boon of course is - she's STRONG and if you're zapped by her necrotic tinged power, you're messed up. The bad part is she's a sitting duck when performing a lot of magic and if you get past her orb defense bubble she can get KO'd or potentially killed, but for now she thankfully has a watchful friend with her!

Hello gorgeous!! Sorry for the delay! T_T I had gotten so busy! Thank you SO SO much for asking me about her! For Noa!Rook! 19 - What is Rook's love language? What love languages do they respond best to? Now we all know the controversy with the love languages but we'll gloss over that for this! Noa loves to give words of affirmation and spend quality time with those she gives loves to. She is a generally quiet person, but she loves to listen. The words she choses to say she feels always need weight behind them, so all she says to you should mean something. She is fine quietly parallel working and enjoys it greatly. All time spent with the partner, listening to the partner, is the most important thing to her. Noa wants to receive time back too! She wants you to be with her as much as you can, and she loves action that backs it up. She doesn't quite need words... though they're nice. She doesn't need gifts, even if they're nice. You are what she wants. <3

28. Does Rook have any pets/animal companions? Noa in Veilguard does not have any animal companions, but I think she REALLY wants a mabari. She's Antivan but I imagine being a Grey Warden means she's working with Ferelden Wardens often, so those big things are probably always around! She would call him something terrifying - like Thanatos or etc... but he'd have a big bow collar and be the sweetest puppy! Maybe later in the Veilguard timeline she gets one, or if they survive the events she'd get one...

45. Who was Rook's closest friend before joining the Veilguard? Anyone who knows me knows that Noa's best friend before joining is NYTHANEL!!! Who belongs to @thesixthplaneteer. He is her fellow Grey Warden, but they were also in the Antivan Circle together! He is a Qunari/Elf transman mage. They have a deathpact together, promising to live and die together. If one gets Called, the other goes.
