Lol at the Netflix post. Seen it trending in the UK Netflix top 10 for weeks and initially did have an image of a certain contingent shouting I told you so. You are truly a PR mastermind 😉 Anyway hope all is well with you

I did a great job tbh. Hope I get paid soon 🤣 definitely worth all the insane rumours and death threats I received back in the day

I'm so happy to see you active again! I hope you are well?

I am okay thanks! It's been a wild couple years, even pre-Pandemic, and I don't know how back I am/active I'll be but I'm always happy to pop in and reaquaint myself :) I feel lile TXF tumblr is like a coffee shop in an old neighbourhood for me at the mo. Not part of my daily DNA but familiar and with some yummy stuff I'll always come back for 😁

Lots of love, Rose & Rosie

To your NT Live anon, a lot US theatres won’t be added until “last minute”. Most theatre that have “Fathom Events” will show it. Maybe a few weeks late though. Just keep checking NT Live website! I hit all 3 local theatres where I was for Streetcar in three different weeks 😂 and for the longest time only 1 was listed.

Hey Nonny - more maybe good news! Fwiw loads of UK dates are still tba so fingers crossed.

Thanks nonny!

I’m so disappointed to see the US nt live schedule! I was counting on it to ‘see’ AAE but the nearest cinema is hundreds of miles away. Is there any chance of it being released on DVD?

Unlikely, I don't know that they've ever done that (though not an expert). I imagine it's quite likely to be pirated and streamed though, Streetcar was and I've seen other NT recordings in the wild, so don't give up hope.

One of the reasons I get so mad at people phone filming shows, aside from the rudeness to cast and crew, is that in the age of NT live, generally there comes a point where a good quality stream is available, at a point where those in the know have deemed that releasing footage will not be damaging to the shows financial viability.

It's a balancing act of access and respect, it's why I paid to host a safe,ad free download of Streetcar for a year after it closed in the US. I want everyone to be able to see stuff but to see it without damaging the play or having to watch potato quality crap.

Anyway. I hope you'll be able to see it somehow. And if you want to email them about adding showings then you can try [email protected] or [email protected]

I left the fandom just for my own mental health. But I sometimes think of you and hope you are doing well. I still think your writing is fantastic! xx

Thank you sweet nonny :) I am doing okay. I still have no idea what I'm doing but I'm getting better at moving forwards anyway, and being okay with mistakes. Thank you for your kind words, and feel free to chat any time. Fandom can be rough, and often stepping back is needed, but there are also good humans to share the nice bits with. Which is just to say thank you, for thinking of me, wishing me well, and if you ever wanna chat X Files without drama or bullshit, my chat, inbox and heart are open :)

Do you know if they will film AAE like they did with streetcar?

No idea. It depends if Delfont Mackintosh and NTL can make it work (and whether or not it sells out/well making it in demand enough).

I'd hope so because yay for accessibility but I have no idea

Hi Rose, I don’t know if you remember me, but about a year ago I started to send you anons when I was pregnant. The baby is now almost six months and such a ray of sunshine 😍. In those six months I also had the chance to meet Gillian and my admiration for her only grew bigger. That’s one hell of a powerful woman! She inspires me so much. I also wanted to thank you for your kind words when I feared that once again I would not be pregnant. That meant a lot! ❤️

OMG! I am so happy to hear from you and with such lovely news. I have thought of you often over the past months and hoped that you and baby were happy and thriving and I am so delighted that you cam back to tell me you’re okay. I’m also thrilled you got to meet Gillian and share a positive interaction, she really is a wonderful human and so inspiring.

I wish you and your little one the most wonderful, joyful summer with lots of baby smiles and cute little outfits and I hope that your little family is the recipient of all the joy and luck in the world. Thanks for making my morning nonny :)

Just wanna say I witnessed all the cuckoo shit and spiraling from the sidelines since summer of 2016, and you are the rare gem who has honesty and integrity. So yes, you definitely keep doing you. 🍻

I just find it all so crazy because in the past year I have kept to myself, I have sure as shit not gone to war on Gillovny, I haven’t named an shamed those who attacked me, I haven’t cracked and done some “tell all” to try and make myself look better. I’ve accepted there are a shot ton of lies out there about me and there is nothing I can do, so I just don’t get why sporadically these people decide to dredge it all up again.

Why are they so afraid of a shitposter who sometimes writes stories and posts pretty rarely these days? It’s just ridiculous at this point and while I’m happy to clarify up to a point, I also just really don’t have the time or the interest ya know?

But thanks for the support, it means a lot and it’s nice to know what not all the lurkers think I’m a lunatic!

didn't you get your unicorn job or what happened

It’s a long story nonny, or at least it feels that way. After I quit in August I worked a couple of minimum wage jobs to cover my expenses so I could travel. I was contacted by a former competitor just after I got back from the US in September, inviting me to go in for a chat me about “opportunities”. I put it off until the new year, but they kept calling me. By January I was exhausted, working two jobs was taking it out of me and so I went in, we chatted, and they offered me a version of my old job, with less to do, more control and a lot more money. I’m really good at that job. And after six months I was in a good enough place to want to find out whether what made me so unhappy was my old company, the industry, or just who it turned me into. So I took the job, on a temporary contract so I had an opt out.

The bad news is that I think it’s the industry I despise. The good news is that it reminded me how damn capable I am, because I’m knocking out of the park. It also will pay for Montreal. So It’s survivable for now, but it’s no unicorn, At least now I know.

Hello! I’ve never been abroad to go see a theater play and I really want to see All about Eve. I have no idea how much the average price for tickets is + how much in advance tickets are for sale. Do you happen to know an estimated price and time? Thank you in advance!

Well it’s not even confirmed yet so you don’t need to panic too much. Given that it seems likely it’s early 2019 I imagine it’ll be announced this summer and then tickets usually go on sale in London by season, depending on the venue. It really varies hugely from theatre to theatre, but with a “big name” adaptation there is almost always a lead up to ticket release, and my best guess is that that might be around September/October, once the summer seasons are over and people have announced/booked Christmas shows. But that’s a guess.

As for price, tickets in London can be anywhere between £15 and infinity, again dependent on the size of the theatre and the star power of the stars. YOu wanna go see something experimental at Arcola? £10. You wana see McKellen doing King Lear? Sell a kidney. Again, my best guess would be that assuming Gillian does it and it’s a theatre of average size, tickets will go from £25 for cheapies and the gods, £50 for average and £90 for stalls/premium. BUT I really don’t know. It depends how they stage it.

My best advice is to find All About Eve (the movie) watch Bette Davis absolutely slay and wait for an actual announcement before you start panicking. When that comes, I’m happy to help however I can with advice etc. London theatre is my vice and Gillian is my goddess so… I get it :)

Gillian requested that she doesn’t want any T shirts giving to her to wear at the next con, she’s got her outfit planned. I’m not saying it’s going to be a royal, like one we’d expect to see in season 3 of a certain programme on a particular streaming site that is yet to announce its full cast, or supporting cast, or behind the scenes friends/partners support network, but it’s not not a royal either. Cross pr- I mean cosplay, she’s just a big fan of the monarchs.

I mean... while part of me would find this funny (and of course be influenced in favour of Netflix shows, monarchs and not dating David Duchovny), I’m hoping for some deep Chis Carter shade that also serves as an answer to “When will you agree to S12″ before anyone opens their mouthses.

And then “NO MEANS NO CHRISTOPHER” on the back. These are also great shirts for a mic drop ya know?

Everything, everything u wrote on point, smashed it with that post. Make love not war😊

Thanks nonny!

Honestly having had some of the same loud voices now trashing Duchovny try and take me down/ruin my reputation/do whatever it was they got up to last year, I’ve realised that the most meaningful thing any of us can do on here is try and connect to each other. Every fandom comes with a side of twisted and deluded, and giving that voice or trying to reason with it is a fool’s errand. If a person wants to dedicate their blog to saying awful things about someone they claim to be a fan of, or circulating an alternate reality as if it’s fact, then I can’t stop them, but I can make sure what I bring to the table is something different. Something that is authentically me and not based on anyone else’s persona or relationship. Perhaps that won’t make me the most “popular” or “trendy” blog on here, but it has made me a bunch of really, really wonderful friends. And with the series ending? That’s what I wanna walk away with.

I’m not here to divide the fandom in to friends and enemies according to my beliefs, or make up ideals for celebs I don’t know to fall short of so I can trash them… I just wanna talk to some people about a show and see where that takes me.

Omg I can’t tell you how much I want her to do another play!!!!! I sincerely hope one of her big projects for 2019 that she has planned already is a play. Please please please please please. Theatre gods and whatever deity and monsters alike, make it happen!!!!! Some awesome costar, great playwright, fab director, cool theatre venue are all welcome too.

yup! I want someone to write her a new play, something with a little comedy in the drama. I would ideally like Nick Hytner to direct it at The Bridge. Then I want Lady Macbeth, Three Sisters, Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf, maybe a gender flipped Julius Caesar or one of the Richards or Henrys. I’ll take anything though, And in super duper dream lala land one day she’ll reprise Blanche in my post-Streetcar script-ishpiece that I’ve had half-written in a drawer for a year

Are you going to the Ghent comic con? I'm not interested in the whole con scene, but *sigh*, Gillian...

I am not nonny. I made it to Chicago, and am glad I did, but I enjoyed it because of the other fans, the chance to visit and amazing city, and to meet the fandom people I met. The panel for me was honestly kinda a let down, I get acute second hand embarassment, and almost crawled under my seat at some of the questions/awkwardness. Also, although the signing stuff can be fun, it can be stressful and rushed and a bit artificial and while it’s perfect for some people, it’s just not an environment where I thrive. I feel like I got my fill of the con set-up, there, and having been lucky enough to get my speedo signed and then super lucky to get a chance to really talk to Gillian informally on another occasion, I can’t see myself travelling just for a con again any time soon. I feel like I’ve had my go and that’s okay.

That said, if there’s another Chicago (half the fandom showing up) or an event in London with a Q&A (especially one with a pre-approved question list) I’d definitely consider attending/hosting another bash, even if I skipped the signing/VIP malarkey. I’d rather spend my money travelling to see philey-friends than on standing in line for a terrifying photo op…

Really though I’m just hoping for some London theatre work from Ms Anderson, so I can admire her in her most beloved, and my longest-loved format.
